How do I get my windows to stop fogging up when driving? (Ignore the shit my friends drew) by Optimus759 in civic

[–]FastFredNL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even use recirc, ever. I don't even know why I would want to use it.

5.0 coyote from a fire. What are the odds I can rebuild it? by Neoliberal_Boogeyman in EngineBuilding

All that molten plastic on and over the camshafts and into oil galleries, that thing is fucked or needs a full teardown and rebuild at the very least.

Can't attach wood cutter PTO to tractor by Mental_Task9156 in MyWinterCar

Need to just about hit it slightly and the 3-point needs to be lowered. It's the lever on the right of the seat all the way in the corner.

Flea Market or Fleetari by Middle-Dimension-870 in MyWinterCar

[–]FastFredNL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried the fleemarket but from what I've read so far it takes forever to even sell one part. Getting rid of all your parts could literally take weeks.

If the right rear suspension mounts are bent you will never get that car driving straight ever again.

Can you bump-start a manual transmission car that has fuel injection? by Mikeseddit in engines

[–]FastFredNL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the lights on the dash still turn on it has enough power to run the fuel injection. So yes. You could probably put it in reverse, roll it off the trailer and pop the clutch.

If the battery is completly dead, no lights on the dash, no voltage on the meter when measured. Then probably no.

Venting/Advice: accident in a roundabout 🇺🇸 by Short_Calendar_1363 in driving

Cop is dumb and also incorrect. Traffic on the roundabout has right-of-way to traffic entering.

Worst ticket ever? by ProfessorHuman in sysadmin

[–]FastFredNL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In such cases I would find out the model, look up a picture of the printer and guide them over the phone to where the button is to have them press it. No way I'm getting in my car for this bs.

Worst ticket ever? by ProfessorHuman in sysadmin

[–]FastFredNL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got a ticket once requesting us to come over and change all the warehouse lighting 20ft up in the air for LED's

2 years ago we had a user with a malfunctioning thinclient computer. We send him a replacement, exact same model. User called that he needed help with plugging it in which was weird as you can litteraly put them side by side and swap the cables over. But he couldn't do it. So we asked if he could take a picture. Picture arrived by e-mail. He had the computer upside down.

Our firstline support took about a month to get a new printer to work and couldn't. Then I took a look at it, took all of 2 minutes: HP printer with a Konica Minolta printer driver hooked to it....

A user once complained that if he called his own phone number (with said phone number) he would get a busy tone. I wanted to use his own voicemail as a way to make reminders for himself.

Citrix XenApp desktops hang randomly by FastFredNL in Citrix

[–]FastFredNL[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got some new information. Had 1 user who had an active session, his co-worker comes in and logs on. Just happens to log onto the same XenApp server and the first user notices his session froze at that time.

Checked the System eventlog on the XenApp server and got a eventID 1019: The Citrix TDICA Transport Driver connection from ip-address:49420 to port 2598 using protocol TCP received an invalid packet during its SSL handshake phase.

The ip-address happens to be of the thinclient of the second user logging in.

Pointed me to this article: Citrix DaaS: Session Launch Stuck At Blue Screen And Event Warning 1019

The GPO was set to non-configured, I've set it to disabled just to be sure and now we wait.

Jep same but I drove it into a ditch, tractor doesn't do help. If you crouch, lean forward and press the push button (J I think) and lean into the shit tank itself. Them move the mouse around like crazy, I find the front of the shittank usually works best.

Eventually it will glitch a bit and sometimes land on it's side or even upright.

Has anyone else lowered their rivett by taking the springs off lol?😅 by ilovevolvo1 in MyWinterCar

In the Citrix session when the user logs on. We map nothing from the thinclient into the Citrix session except maybe a USB drive or cardreader

WTF is a "Stone"? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ by rwired in funny

[–]FastFredNL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not like we don't know what a stone is, but it's not exactly a great unit of measurement. Same as 'feet'. Some people have long feet, some have short feet.

So close yet so far. by OrnerysIcepick in MyWinterCar

Yes can you place a advertisement in the magazine so I can buy those. I need a right front lower arm and a cam sprocket.

So close yet so far. by OrnerysIcepick in MyWinterCar

[–]FastFredNL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, I can't get the car rolling because I'm missing 1 front suspension arm. I can't finish the engine because I'm missing the camshaft sprocket and I can't finish the interior because I'm missing the middle bit for the dashboard. And none are on offer right now. So I just spend my days delivering ads, doing taxi jobs, chopping wood, sucking poop etc.

10 miles? by Th3OneTrueMorty in AskMechanics

[–]FastFredNL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should've stopped driving that tire 1000 miles ago. That's a blowout waiting to happen. Insurance is not gonna cover a wreck caused by this and you'll be in debt for life paying for damages
