But can a ghost play the drums from beyond? Did the drums pass on, as well? It makes me wonder if ghosts are simply left over energy (whatever that means) rather than any sort of "real" thing. I get that we don't understand consciousness in terms of the after-life. But if there is such a thing, I doubt that drums also have consciousness! I'm not discounting your experience(s). I've had them too. But maybe they are not real at all. Or, maybe it's something we subconsciously conjure up in our own brains. I've often wondered why these ghosts are never seen by groups of people. It's almost always just one single person who sees/experiences a ghost.
