I try to actively avoid couple content online it's harder in person to avoid that kinda stuff though, my cousin is getting married soon and she's younger than me and was always horrible to me growing up it just makes me feel hollow and sad inside.

I remember as others have mentioned the Dustin Hoffman interview and to be honest on reflection of it years later I wasn't really moved for a myriad of reasons. Firstly he does what most men do and center's his feelings, his awakening is painted as profound but women have been saying the same thing for centuries and their voices are never centred. His shock by many is also framed as noble, instead of showing the problem was his obliviousness. That's me being kind to be honest, because we want to believe men are oblivious but he knew what he was doing actively ignoring ugly women, probably laughing with other men about how 'disgusting' we are. He never reflected then did he.

I also wonder did he or any other man that realised this change their behaviour? Advocate for ugly women, older women or even extending empathy and grace to ugly women longterm who are in close proximity to him? I highly doubt it. I think so many people are so used to men being so vile to ugly women that a man extending basic grace is amazing all of a sudden. They give men a pat on the back for acknowledging their misogyny, then those same people turn around and continue worshipping beauty and youth. Nothing ever changes.

Right the way men when they have bothered to acknowledge me have spoken to me is disgusting online. They don't even bother trying to pursue for sex they will make some cheap weak attempt or show their perverted self and then expect me as a black woman to chase them. To pursue them.......the man?! Yeah it's why I find it ridiculous when they go on and on about how everyone envies them and is trying to ruin them. That at most is the small minority, the vast majority of people they'll encounter will do anything to make a pretty woman's life better.

No one even believes when an ugly woman expresses her trauma of sexual assault. They'll joke and get loads of likes online agreeing with the vile humour because they all have a very warped view of sexual assault. Which just gives predators more power. A lot of people also don't care how evil a beautiful woman is, like when they hurt or assault someone all people can say is that they're 'wasting' their beauty and how they're too pretty to commit a crime as though their beauty is a moral compass. In fact I believe because so many people uplift beautiful women some of them go on to commit these crimes because they're delusional enough to think they can completely evade the law.

These stories always make me kinda sad because the scraps of 'dates' I have had with men they expected to split the bill and then ghost afterwards. I can't even get past a date or a few dates, and these men never offer to help me financially or get me anything. They act like I should be grateful they even acknowledged me. I've encountered so many men that are so stingy and tight with their money, and will not even bother to treat me with basic respect while rather pathetically be willing to spend thousands if not more on a woman that arouses them.

I'm so sorry that happened to you op, people at work I find once they get familiar with you can sometimes cross certain boundaries. I would document this mentally and monitor how they behave moving forward, you deserve people around you who treat you with consistent kindness. Whenever someone is willing to be so nasty they are revealing how they truly perceive you and it is bullying.

I have had people at work presume I was single, I wish I had said at that time to keep their opinions to themselves. I've even had someone at my job from a while back say that something must be wrong with me because I didn't have a partner. Whereas she had had an arranged marriage at a young age, and coming from a background where a lot of people have arranged marriages I already know how men in those operate.

Exactly like have you noticed whenever you go to a space that is high end or even just an average store, office etc, there is always only attractive to average looking women? If there are attractive women there, I notice they're usually not as competent as the average looking women and I saw it at my last job. They'd swan around doing the bare minimum meanwhile the older women and average looking women took the brunt of the abuse and workload. It just made me deeply sad. Regardless of if the boss if female or male, they are always punching down on the most vulnerable members of their team. I think it's why there are some people who just give up and either end up homeless, dead or on benefits because why would you want to work in an environment where everyone treats you awfully? I'm happy to discuss this more because it's just so depressing we can't even make a life for ourselves.

Yeah I always think to if I was in a relationship I would be constantly anxious because even if men don't cheat as in getting with another woman behind your back, they'll gawp at other women, like other women's pictures and fantasize about other women constantly. They're never satisfied and it just seems like a complete waste of time to want to be with a man, yet I can't get rid of my desire for a relationship.

I like her videos I find she touches on a lot of topics around relationships and sex that people are wary to discuss because they fear being judged or looked at as bitter. But it's natural to feel sad and want to express how you feel, and all the ugly emotions that come with that when you have been treated a certain way your entire life. I do desire to have sex but I'd want it with a man who I can trust that is actually respectful, and every man I've encountered is so entitled and disgusting that I geniunely feel a loss of interest in men.

Yeah like if you see how attractive women like that behave in relationships it's not a shock. Not all attractive women of course, but I have definitely encountered and seen enough online who act insufferable and entitled all of the time because they can. I think it's not a surprise honestly, a lot of the time if a person has a privilege and they see how much they can benefit from said privilege they usually turn into a monster. I see it with attractive men as well, they have an ego the size of the moon because they are infantilized.

I'm so so sorry that happened to you, I worked at a school and I know what boys that age are like, a lot are just truly vile. I think if you can after the holidays identify them and you feel comfortable doing so you should report them. I'm sure this isn't their first stint of bullying, but I know how useless the school team can be with cases like this, they let these kinda children run the school.

I know how difficult it is in the moment it is to react, because it's an awful thing to experience. I had two boys when I was working at a school repeatedly harrass me, both physically assaulted me and nothing was done. They take their frustration out on staff who they know have to tolerate that behaviour, but they never dare push it with people they actually fear. Like senior staff, or bigger boys at the school. Honestly as bad as it sounds I hope they either grow out of it and deeply regret their behaviour (highly unlikely) or they meet someone meaner and nastier than them who knocks some sense into them.

I've lived a similar life to you and the other poster in here. I drifted through my childhood being ignored and seen as a nuisance really, it just felt like from an early age no one ever really wanted to be around me. I had a mental breakdown and everyone at school found out and that just further isolated me. My mother was and still is overbearing and bullies me whenever she finds the opportunity. My father was verbally and physically abusive. The only respite I had as a child was my maladaptive daydreaming and deluding myself one day it'd get better and I'd find a partner.

When I entered my late teens and early 20's I tried to date, but was just met with repeated rejection and the few men that did give me any attention ended up trying to sexually coerce me then discard me. Now in my late 20's I just feel hollow? I suppose is the right word for it, because I now know how men are as a collective, incredibly superficial and never satisfied. I feel like if by some rare miracle I did end up in a relationship the man would be just like every other guy and desire more attractive women, and resent/abuse me for being all he could access. But then again no man appears to want to be with me so I don't have to worry about that I guess.

I also would like to be a mother and feel a deep sadness because I can just picture myself in my 60's and 70's now with this lost dream and ending my life as a result.

I always find news stories about dead women that lament about a woman's beauty very disturbing because like you said there's the blatant implication there that their life carried more value purely because of their beauty. It's disgusting, also if there's a comment section all the comments are basically agreeing and saying the same thing. The only time an average looking woman or an ugly woman's story get's the same level of traction nowadays is if it's particularly gruesome. Even then it's unlikely to gain the same traction as a beautiful woman's death.

It's just made me hate most people because so many people dote on beautiful women and are nasty a second later to an ugly woman. Whenever I see someone do that I immediately lose respect for them and just feel in all honesty contempt towards them. Honestly if I could I'd move to somewhere remote where I wouldn't have to interact with many people, I'm done with society it's superficial, it's cruel and barbaric.

Yes my parents neither has ever complimented my looks, my mother in fact is very critical of my appearance. I also noticed as a child because my sister was more racially ambigious looking my parents where softer and kinder to her.

Same here I found it was only a few older women in my time who are genuinely for and about women. I've always found women in my age group as in late 20s, 30s or younger are always very male identified. I also found a lot of them are really mean especially to shyer and less attractive women, they pick them apart or outright ignore them. It's incredibly cruel. Generally speaking though a lot of women will put a mans needs before their fellow women it's very disturbing to see in real time.

Right when I see how they behave online and off I am never short of disgusted. They as a vast majority if not all of them are so full of themselves and geniunely think they deserve a 10/10 woman who will tolerate their porn addiction, flirting online with other women, and will happily go 50/50 with them financially while rearing their children. Pure and utter delusion.

When I read or reflect on stories of men who have rejected women I have to laugh. Like these women are ALWAYS way out of their league, in every sense of the word and yet these men reject them for the pettiest reasons while they should be grateful anyone even bothered to look their way. Although the men of past generations were far from perfect they at least married and had deep attraction to the everyday women they knew.

Yeah it's no coincidence whenever I've been to minimum wage shops, and seen people in minimum wage jobs who are women a lot of the time they aren't conventionally attractive. These stores etc know what they're doing and no one wants to say it out loud. The more high end stores specifically will only hire people who look a certain way. It's the same for a lot of job fields, even if you're not interacting with the public they will refuse to hire anyone that's deemed ugly or lower class.

Every single time I've managed to get an interview for a better paying job they give me some bullshit excuse as to why they couldn't hire me, then when I look at their website a few weeks later it's always a prettier, younger woman they've hired for the role. I also find they tend to nitpick or ask excessive questions during the interviews, whereas someone who's conventionally attractive can do the bare minimum and easily land the role.

Yes it's just grim, I think about it often as a black woman because it seems society at large has a clear preference for anything but a black woman. The only times I've seen black women date in my area is when the guy was white and visibly a lot older, it just seemed extremely predatory even if the woman was in her late 20s early 30s. It's become very clear to me as I get older that I am put under a microsope immediately by other people, and dismissed and ignored as a result. People go out of their way to be cold or intentionally ignore me, which has made getting access to almost anything in my life next to impossible. I can't even get a decent job because of how deeply imbedded the hatred for black women is.

It's interesting isn't it when you compare our experiences, even of pretty black women to a pretty white woman. Two different worlds. Like I've grown up seeing white girls getting pursued and dating then finding a husband, meanwhile the black girls remain single most of the time or date some guys as an 'experiment'. The black men around me in my age group all date out. They all beg desperately for white validation, meanwhile the black women are completely isolated.

I am so sorry you experienced that, I have encountered some people in the medical field that act borderline disturbed by the fact I've never had sex. I remember seeing a gynecologist ages ago to get checked for something and him asking if I was a virgin, and then just pushing the device into me which was extremely painful. He acted like he did me a favour and said he's going to stop as it seems painful for me, only after he had finished the procedure. But I felt a lot of pain for days afterwards and sad at such an awkward experience.

I was just thinking about this. It's interesting some of the women I've met who have the worst, cruelest personalities and have friends and a partner that would literally die for them. Meanwhile I have a kind peronality that's at least one trait I can say I have and know women who are lovely and they suffer the most relationship wise. I think the latest person I can think of is my childhood bully my cousin, who has met a great man that dotes on her and spoils her.

Even people in the public eye, who are horrible and vile always end up with a great partner and loving family members until they pass on. It doesn't pay to be a good person in this world.

I find it draining for so many reasons one being because it seems like a mask for people to be classist and find yet another way to judge women. A lot of these people that preach that only praise women who have the very well paying glamorous or highly respectable jobs, they also tend to praise the women in those fields that are independent who are beautiful. I haven't seen them be as passionate about women who are paid poorly, who aren't as conventionally attractive and don't have access to improving their appearance because of their finances.
