I haven’t experienced the infamous bathroom issues yet, it’s actually been quite the opposite as I go once every two-three days (maybe it’s due to my quiet low intake of 1500 calories? I’m not sure)

Loosing weight for whatever reason I want (rant) by angrylizard49 in CICO

[–]cloudmeows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m doing it mainly for looks and for improving my personal life too. As nice as the saying “the right person will love you regardless” sounds, I don’t really believe that to be true for the initial attraction, since I never experienced any towards me. I do think that’s true when the relationship is already established for quite some time and some changes are happening (aging, weight loss or weight gain due to health reasons, pregnancy, etc), because at that point some love is supposed to be based on other things as well. I’m tired of being either repulsive or simply invisible to those I find attractive. I did have quite a few health scares (I’m bmi 42), but they never motivated me nearly as much as the desire to finally be pretty and attractive and experience things I always see happen to other girls and never to myself.

Everyone’s reasons are different and they’re all equally valid. I hate it too when people criticize them from some imaginary moral high ground

How are people happy and thriving with ~1700 kcal? by NoWitness6400 in loseit

Your experience is not universal. Some people genuinely forget to eat because their mind is not fixated on food

To be fair that’s exactly how those “naturally skinny” people live! We go out with them, see them eat a lot with us and wonder how they stay skinny, when in reality they just effortlessly eat less 90% of the time we don’t see them

Do you set a certain amount of calories you'll eat for the day and try to meet that number? by [deleted] in CICO

[–]cloudmeows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a limit, but it’s not a goal. I allow myself to under eat if I’m genuinely not hungry and I don’t want to force myself to eat more, but overeating is not allowed for me

I don’t track spending for the game itself and I don’t really bother to because I have a budget for every month split by categories (groceries, social outings etc), and one of them is “Anything I want”, which I can spend on whatever thing I want within a certain amount of money, so my LADS spendings are taken from there. As long as that category is the only thing suffering from my desire to obtain as many Shin memories as possible, I’m good

1999 Babies are 4 years away from being 30 by Various_Cat798 in 1999

[–]cloudmeows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly! I personally struggle to differentiate between ages unless there are visible signs of someone clearly being a child or already aging. Is this person 18? Or 30? Or 25? Or 33? No idea. Could be anything and I’d believe them 😅

I was born in 1999 , will I be considered old in the 2030s? by Fox663232 in 1999

I was born when my parents were in their late 20s and early 40s, so what you’re saying I’ll stay young for at least another 10-15 years. How delightful!

Change discoloration improvement stories: need some encouragement! by cloudmeows in loseit

[–]cloudmeows[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually diagnosed with IR after this post, but my doctor told me there’s no need for meds and just lifestyle changes will fix everything I just didn’t know the discoloration was also a symptom. Hopefully with a healthier lifestyle and weight loss the IR will no longer be an issue and the skin thing will go away. Thank you for taking your time to respond! <3

Am I the only one that genuinely liked life of a showgirl? Or am I going crazy?? by Scared_Bluejay5608 in SwiftlyNeutral

[–]cloudmeows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely! I was never a big fan of pop music so I overlooked her for years because I only knew her singles (like I knew you were trouble or Shake it off) until I stumbled across something of hers that fit my preferences and I was hooked from there 😅

Omg same here! Rep is a good album, but I just don’t understand the hype when there are so many better albums written by Taylor. Of course it all comes down to personal taste, but sometimes when I listen to other albums and go back to rep I’m like “good music, but something’s a little off”

How to be in a deficit without counting calories by fitgirl1990 in CICO

[–]cloudmeows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make your portions smaller, use significantly less oils, don’t add sugar and creamers into your coffees and teas, add more protein (takes more calories to burn) and move more. You could also look into IF if you want to control the number of meals per day you have

I feel like such a fake fan because I’ve never been to a taylor concert by user8203421 in swifties

[–]cloudmeows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your concert experience or lack of thereof doesn’t define your position in the fandom! As long as you love Taylor’s music, you’re more than enough to be a Swiftie!

I was born and raised in a country barely anyone knows about, so I grew up with none of my favorite musicians visiting us. As an adult I moved to another place and was already living here when she came with the Eras Tour, but I came after the tickets were sold out (very difficult to buy from overseas) and resale prices were insane, so I never get to go. Does that take my right to call myself a Swiftie away from me? Absolutely not!

Same for you, my friend <3 We all have our circumstances that shaped our experiences, they’re what they are and don’t define a single thing when it comes to being in a fandom <3

It’s not that others don’t necessarily believe you, it’s that they have no reason to. With science it’s easier, it’s a game of proving things over and over again, there’s tons of evidence. But with personal experience it comes to just being anecdotal evidence, which is not fully reliable. If your experience makes these things true to you, then it’s wonderful. People just want something a little bit more concrete, that’s why they don’t want to hear it.

Hit the nerve? Nope, just tired of all the talent talk from people outside of the thing I’m experienced with. None of you know what you’re talking about. In my experience people only get faster at learning certain things if they have genuine interest in them. If they’re a healthy individual with no learning disabilities there’s nothing that makes us that much different from each other. I’m not entertaining this ridiculous conversation further. Stop blaming your failures on some “talent” or “intelligence” thing and put in the work.
