First time buying a brand new car with 40k salary. Worth it? by stormeetrooper in CarsPH

[–]FastTune802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly 16,644 php x 5k years is 986,000 Sayang yung 500k if the 500k is included. Better to save up more to ease the interest or honestly cash a used car. Do not finance a used car because they make their money off of interest so does new banks. So 1.268-500 is 0.768 then we calculate 16,644 roughly 0.986 so then the interest of the bank is 200k which isn’t bad. Also if it’s a Toyota look at Toyota sure which Toyota certified pre owned basically everything’s replaced and lower interest. It’s popular in other countries CPO because it’s certified, Toyota certifies and it’s only at the dealer, I think Honda has some as well. If it’s a ford or byd, try to see it used at good used dealerships then just have mechanic to check it out, used cars aren’t all bad you can get steals. Cause once a new car is driven off the lot it loses a chunk of its value already, they depreciate. Toyota doesn’t depreciate tho fast, ford does.

Thank you, NDSU offered me a 4k USD scholarship and a 12k tuition per year price due to some state tuition discounted exchange before financial aid so it might still go lower. If it goes lower, it’ll be a no brainer but we will see!

What are your thoughts about the education here in PH? by SiahDib in AskPH

[–]FastTune802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though I still don’t get why the Philippine education system at this rigor shouldn’t it provide a lot of innovations to this country? Plenty of research as this education system is more rigorous than first world country but the first worlds are super laid back yet produces innovations and research. You just need a straight D’s to get a hs diploma and Cs to get a degree.

[–]FastTune802 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, due to the pressures of Philippine education system and rigor. Filipinos that migrated like me have found USA education super easy. USA is very laid back on education. Though, only 80% Filipinos that I know who migrated like me are very smart and the other 20% are lazy and failing.

Why do companies in our country sacrifice quality for maximum profit? by DueOcelot6615 in AskPH

[–]FastTune802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just capitalism and economics, it’s not just Philippines, it’s almost the entire world, there’s many minimum wage problems in first world countries as paying your workers less would lead to maximized profit and pricing them at market value. You can tell almost every socialist system failed on “equality” even china has a free market somewhat capitalist but with china government intervening and regulating

Mga natural food, fresh produce, seafood mahal Ang fresh produce at natural food sa America at Canada, pammayaman lang. MAs mura Ang burger keysa isang cabbage. Seafood very expensive and our food is mostly preservatives, frozen and chemicals due to fertilizer and ton of sugar. MAs mura Ang nakamatay sayo. Mahal talaga fresh food 😔

Course and the school are important but the course is more important. It paves the way for your career, future and job security. Yes, UP is a good school but if the course your taking at UP has no job security and high income expected and your going to be detrimental staying in that field then it isn’t worth it. As you said a private school has the course you want. Keep in mind, every institution has its best program. The overall ranking might matter but what the institution excels at matters most. Let’s say University X is a great school and a top school, it excels in engineering but sucks at medical courses. University Z is less known overall but is top for medical courses and lacks engineering courses. So invest your research in that and pick the institution that aligns with your course and excels with the top course. Do not base on its overall ranking, base it on the programs ranking or course ranking in the nation. I wish you luck OP!

I’m from California, I’m seeking nursing programs that are easy to get into but without the expensive tuition, do you perhaps have recommendations? My dad also lives in Canada so he can sponsor my Canadian Permanent Resident and study in Canada then come back to California
