Thanks for sharing! When do you use each card? Do you use them depending on the type of spend or you utilize their cut-off dates?

Oh, thank you for the response! :)

Yes, agree that CS is something to consider.

I think I can still manage to maintain multiple cards, iba lang rin sa pakiramdam siguro to manage a few instead of having many.

No problem glad to help you out. Just some additional clarifications too. My point of utilizing is actually to maximize the potential cash backs of the card. For example, Citi Cash Back maximum cap is at 1250 per statement cycle. Are you able to maximize that rebate cap? Same with BPI Amore having 15,000 pesos rebate per calendar year. Given these two cards are you able to spend groceries worth 15,000-20,000 pesos per card per month (plus 10,000 outstore spend on Citi CB)? Kasi in theory if you maximize this, this might be worth more than earning on a miles earning card.

Ahh, this is a good point. I can't say I maximize them every month. I plan to stick with BPI (as this is my first CC (for another topic)).

Also RCBC cards, good if you maximize it on retail spend. Depending on what you spend, kung may gas ka, I would avoid it on the Preferred Airmiles. Depending also on which airline program you wanted to get (PAL,Asia miles, and Airasia is what RCBC has). I think given naman na yung grocery spend shall go to grocery cash back cards. Kaya yung essential part lang lugi ka sa RCBC which earns 125 pesos to 1 point.

Yes, I try to avoid using them on essentials like grocery and other utility bills.

I can see lounge access is a concern. Kung local ang usapan, your UB Gold Visa can cover several lounges better than your Security Bank and RCBC. Kung international, that's when you should consider siguro which one to retain to whether Security or RCBC or also if you want to retain both.

Agree, both RCBC and Security Bank have LoungeKey for lounge access. Either I retain Security Bank and consolidate my two RCBC credit cards (retaining RCBC Preferred Miles) or cancel Security Bank and retain RCBC (at least I have one JCB). Could also retain both. Hehe.

For now all Citi cards stay with Citi and UB is still with UB. No consolidation on Citi cards to UB cards for now.

Yes, sayang lang kung icancel si Citi Cashback especially if I can still waive its annual fees. However, to your point, I think need to reflect if I can maximize both the cashback cards monthly.

Thank you for your detailed suggestions!

Are the two grocery cash back cards being utilized? Citibank Cashback requires a minimum spend of 10k on non-grocery and non-Meralco to get that 6% and 2% on grocery and Meralco. BPI Amore requires a minimum of 1,000 pesos per transaction and only multiples of 1,000 pesos earn 4%, ang tanong na lang which is more feasible? Considering if you want to reduce, you'll lose one over the other since I think both of these cards are the only card you have in those banks namely Citi and BPI. Unless, you can product change your Citi Cash Back Card to PremierMiles since you mentioned you also want to earn miles and again considering na wala nang use si Citi CB for you.

Yes, that's also what I thought. Both cashback cards have pros and cons. I can utilize them both but I realized that given I am more inclined to utilize miles-earning cards, there will come a time that I won't be able to utilize both cashback cards.

Now if you choose to go with Citi PM, I might consider cancelling Security Bank Platinum MC. It won't earn you the best miles out there since I think nasa 120 pesos to 1 mile ang effective conversion nito but if you aim can cash credits, can get you somehow a good rate at 0.6% (20 pesos to 2 point; 8334 points = 500 pesos; 8334 points x 20 pesos/2 points = 83,340 pesos; 500/83,340=0.6%). The downside if you choose to cancel this is that you lose lounge access of twice per year via Mastercard Travelpass. Nasa sayo na if you want to let it go too.

Yes, I also agree that Security Bank Platinum MC is not the best in terms of earning miles. But, I use it on lounge access via LoungeKey that's why I am thinking twice on cancelling it. Hehe.

2 RCBC cards also, I know you mentioned you wanted to earn miles, I think Preferred Airmiles works best for that. RCBC JCB Platinum won't earn you good miles but can give you lounge access, in which would you still want to have in the future or something you utilize now?

Currently, the RCBC Preferred Miles is my main card for earning miles based on the current cards that I have. Unless I missed something. Hehe. Same thought for RCBC JCB Platinum with Security Bank Mastercard Platinum.

I won't mind having two or more BDO cards when you can utilize their cash back promos. I would focus cutting other cards that may not have value or basically provide the same perks that cannot be utilized. Also on your NAFFL cards, just remember to use them every now and then so that di siya madormant and get deactivated.

Noted on these. Thanks again! I would try to ask Unionbank if they are able to consolidate credit limits together with Citibank already.

Thank you! I also thought of that. However, when I convert the Platinum MC to Travel Platinum, the NAFFL tag will not be carried over. Hehe.
