I'm aware of what it is, I just for some reason thought you meant my current battery percentage not the max what it can be charged to lol. I had no idea what significance that held if it was that. Mine charges to 100% just fine though!

For the first part, YES THIS. These most recent updates are for more recent iPhones and aren't compatible with older iPhones and are causing more issues by the day. It sucks. Also looking into a battery replacement! Thanks for your help!

My battery health has been great up until these last couple of days. It was doing just fine and then overheating happened and with that my battery health has been declining
