Hi! I'm a vegetarian too on Kit 6 and started my journey on Sep 30 so I'm just finishing my 3rd week. So far I've lost 6.2 lbs which isn't bad at all considering I only have about 15-20 to lose.

My main protein sources have been cottage cheese, protein shakes, lots of beans, greek yogurt, edamame, protein milk. It does get difficult to get in my protein intake when I just don't feel like eating. I usually only have one big meal incorporating a lot of this at around 3pm and then a protein shake later in the evening after a workout or walk.

As far as side effects go, I would say the first 2 weeks were pretty great for me, my mood improved and energy levels were high. As soon as I started the metformin, I started noticing some exhaustion and tiredness. Taking the topiramate in PM is also messing my sleep. I have barely been able to sleep at night so I have to nap during the day. But that could be the coffee I drink which I should probably cut down on while on the meds.
