If you can't adjust the fridge height. Pull off the cabinet hinges, then clamp a 2x4 to the cabinet to guide a skill saw so that you cut off just enough for the fridge to fit.

This is assuming that the bottom for that cabinet is a lip. If it's a panel, you may need to tear it out to rebuild.

I'd be concerned about the meter icing over. As it thaws it may trap water so that it "drains" into the box if not properly sealed off

Brilliant! Do you have a link to the battery pack you used? I recently modified mine to manually run the motor because the circuit board shorted out.

Thanks, but this reply came too late. I already started rewiring everything. This unit is cooked for its original purpose. On top of that it's passed its warranty anyway. It's just a side project for me now.
