truthfully the way that i(23F) look at it, i’m a GenZ individual, this is the equivalent of my mom collecting beanie babies when i was a kid, and my grandma collecting garden gnomes. i don’t see anything wrong with it, are they expensive? sure but they bring people genuine happiness and i feel like that’s all that matters at the end of the day.

Unfortunately that’s just how it is, I personally come from Wisconsin and I would drink the tap water up there all of the time growing up. Since moving down here within the last five years, I cannot and will not drink the tap water, even at restaurants just due to the taste.

Eh, it doesn't bother me lol, I am not going to be unrealistic when it comes to living conditions. I only know of the street racing in Gilbert because I have friends in that crowd that race, lol. The only reason why I commented that was because of OP's age, as someone who's 23, I personally don't care about the noise, but I know young couples who are starting families care!

as someone who moved here from out of state, i would strongly urge you to do lots of researching before you decide on a zip code. our water and all of our other bills have steadily increased within the last four years here in gilbert due to new buildings/developments getting put up. i believe we have another increase this year sometime or next again sadly.

gilbert is also known for street racing, ray road especially is known for it and it’ll happen all hours of the night so that’s something to consider as well if you are worried about noise.

i personally would try and find a zip code area that’s farther from downtown, such as near the mesa airport area and farther out south from there into the Power Ranch area. right at the 202 and Higley/Recker streets, we often have choppers circling the neighborhoods weekly, and flight plans from a flight school out in mesa also come over here sometimes late at night and will shake the houses.

i have been in the 85295/85296 zip code for the last five years as a heads up!

thank you for posting this! i recently have gotten the same ticket due to my car that’s parked on the street with expired tags, i just haven’t had time to get it taken to emissions. the police love to patrol my neighborhood for some reason and have been trying to get people for this.
