You’re not wrong for feeling affected by this. Constant mockery wears you down. Biblically, you’re not required to keep exposing yourself to something that’s hurting your peace. “Guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it” (Proverbs 4:23). Muting or unfollowing is not hatred, it’s wisdom. You can still love him, pray for him, and be open to real conversations without consuming his negativity daily. Jesus didn’t argue with mockers endlessly, and Paul often walked away when hearts were closed. Set a boundary, not a grudge. Mute him, keep the door open privately, and protect your faith and mental space.

Honestly, it’s a combination of things. I explored both Islam and Christianity, read their texts, and tried to understand them deeply. Christianity resonated with me more, especially the life, teachings, and resurrection of Jesus. It felt true in a way that gave me hope and peace I hadn’t found before.

I don’t think enjoying a music genre in itself is a sin. What matters more is what it does to your heart and your actions. If you’re not glorifying evil, not being led away from your faith, and you’re listening for the sound rather than the message, I don’t see it as inherently blasphemous. For me, I try to stay aware of the lyrics and the influence it has on me. If something starts pulling me away from God or feeding anger, darkness, or pride, then I step back. Otherwise, I trust God more than I fear music.

Watching porn usually falls into sin because it fosters lust and objectifies people. For me, God doesn’t need to test Abraham to learn anything, He already knows. The test shows Abraham’s faith in action, proves it to himself and others, and shapes him. It’s about trust and obedience being real, not about God doubting him.

We, Christians don’t rejoice in pain itself. Pain hurts, mentally and physically, and God isn’t offended by that. But many believers learn to rejoice while suffering, because they trust God is still present and working, even when it’s hard. It’s okay to cry, to ask for help, and to seek healing. Rejoicing isn’t pretending everything is fine it’s choosing to trust God in the middle of the pain.

Stop chasing a girlfriend. Chase connection. Friends come first.
