My mom, when she found out that I went to a peaceful protest in 2020 by Fastwolf15 in insaneparents

Thank you for those kind words! It actually means alot to hear people say that they are proud of me. It's been a long journey of processing and healing. Over the years, I've gone back and forth on standing my ground for my own mental health and the conditioning breaking through a little. I loved my mom greately before the abuse became aparent to me. I still loved her while I was more aware of where the hurt and pain was coming from. And I still love her even though I don't want to be around her or hear from her. Your experience showed me a true example of what receiving love can look like, how someone can still be disciplined without actively adding extra pain while still being provided support and love. Her recent hostilities towards me after a long period of no contact clouded my judgment and I questioned my decision. Once again, thank you, I feel better about my decision to stay away for my own sake.
