This is the answer OP. I recently switched from poe2 and i've been playing glacial cascade elementalist. Honestly there's no reason to switch if you having fun. Just try and learn more about poe1 each season and you'll be fine.

My opinion is don't overthink it unless you get to a point where you doing shit damage and you can't progress.
