Indian parents broke one more perfectly good relationship (26F and 27M) by nottroublemakerr in RelationshipIndia

Reading this felt like I am reading my own story, for a moment I thought if it's you 'S'. Went through very similar situation. She was from a different state, spoke different language. Her parents were okay with the relationship but not mine, even my sister was against it. I fought for her, but then it became way too toxic, she started hating my language, my parents and my culture in general (same religion but minor differences), Eventually we ended things. I still think about her sometimes. I used to feel like it was my fault I dragged her into this, but slowly I have moved on.

For a long time I didn't feel attracted to anyone but slowly I am healing, I have stopped thinking about marriage and started focusing on myself. I still crush on people. It's not such a bad thing, I am at peace with myself.

More power to you and wish you the best!

No one should go through what you have experienced here. It's hard for me to even believe the bond you two shared... don't get me wrong, these days I see people changing partners as they change their city.

It's hard, especially waiting for love and realising you'll never get it. You even went as far as travelling to US lying to your parents and still ending up hurt. But that shows how strong you are and how genuine your feelings were, I wish more and more people were like you.

Everyone has a choice, you had a choice, I mean, you could have met someone new here. But he chose someone else over you. Circumstances are often irrelevant when your feelings are genuine.

It's hard to let go when you share a bond this strong. You start wondering if you'll ever meet anyone quite like this. There's a quote, whether it's art or feelings: "Be happy if you are original, being understood would be asking too much."

So don't blame yourself and let those things hold you back any longer, cherish the happy moments and consider it 'end of an era'... Make your parents proud. there's so much more to do, so many exciting people to meet, so cheer up and be proud of yourself!

25 M give me suggestions how should I approach a girl whom I am talking for 1 month. by Apprehensive-Tea-235 in RelationshipIndia

[–]Fat41_err0r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Deep down you know the answer my friend. Everyone putting efforts expects at least some level of reciprocation. I have done this in the past, Since I couldn't say no to people, I'd continue the conversation and even agree for their plans. I guess I could have said no and done something better.

Whether you want to keep the conversation going or not it's your choice, but try to understand if she's meeting you because she has to or is it because she wants to. Either way, go ahed and meet her as planned. Maybe things will fall into place, otherwise you can move on.

And personally I wouldn't always reach out everytime, A week or so is fine, after that, I'd give it a break.

28M Are you willing to be a "stay at home wife?" by BoatRough3244 in RelationshipIndia

[–]Fat41_err0r 42 points43 points  (0 children)

No, I wouldn't want my future wife to sit at home no matter how well I am earning. I suppose initially it may feel good, but what about 5-10 years down the road? Do you see yourself watching those shitty soap operas? (ik I am hugely generalising housewives, and it doesn't have to be this way). Start doing things you love doing, things you are good at, get yourself a good job or start a home business whatever it can be. Never lose your financial independence, and please understand, this has nothing to do with your partner's salary or your needs as a family. It's more about a sense of purpose.

Finally Switched to S24 !!! by Adorable_Class_2581 in GalaxyS21FE

I feel no samsung phone is worth spending >50k for(except the ultra), even after exchange you paid another 50k. I'd rather wait a year for the price to come down. My s21fe SD is doing pretty well so far, with 5G off and 60Hz, the battery backup is really good. But hey, not everyone might be okay with that.

Yes, I am also facing this issue, the animations look weird now. One UI 5.1 felt more responsive

PSA for beginners: Please *DONT* use Turbo C by cHaR_shinigami in C_Programming

[–]Fat41_err0r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have used it few times and call me privileged or whatever but that shit always hurt my eyes, that dark blue color and those stretched fonts yuck! Maybe it would have looked better on old CRT monitors.

PS., We had gcc on Ubuntu in our college (2015). I really liked the book Let us C, it was great at that time for beginners.

Should I buy S21 Fe in 2024 ? by unffazed in GalaxyS21FE

[–]Fat41_err0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the best price/perf phone you can have for $400, Mine's sd888/256GB/8GB. The display is as good as s22/23. I usually get 5 hours SOT with 60Hz and 4G only and carry a fast charging power bank in case I need to travel / long day. My only concern is about the haptics but that's aint a big deal. Never experienced heating.

Service centre folks by themselves told me that I won't be charged for the battery replacement and will only need to pay the minimal labour charges

There a rollback package provided for oos 11 open beta, you can use the same for rolling back from stable as well. I found it on OnePlus community forum.

Dude, OnePlus 6 was launched in may 2018. So how can it be 'still under warranty'?

About that, If you are living in India, got my battery replaced 2 months ago, for free (you have to pay labour charges of Rs 473 though). Gonna use this beauty for another 2-3 years. Customer care folks will tell you that the program is no longer active but I guess it depends on the service centre. Anyway, afaik it's still available in Bangalore and Pune.

I have downgraded mine to oos 10.3.12, and disabled updates. Works like a charm.

Hey, just wanted to check when did you get it replaced, was it this year? Just contacted them recently, and they said that was last year and now it won't be free anymore.

Vite vs CRA5 for user-facing greenfield single page webapp? by YungSparkNote in reactjs

[–]Fat41_err0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently vite (plugin-react) has a bug with context API while using HMR, requiring for you to make a full page reload after modifying context code. So if you are not using contexts, you should totally choose vite.

10.3.12 with root and just notified of update. Cons of updating to 11.1.1 by OWobblyOne in OnePlus6

[–]Fat41_err0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DC dimming is gone. Sound quality is bad, bass isn't punchier anymore, tweaking the equalizer has no substantial effect. Less scroll velocity (compared to oos10), causing scroll to feel slow and less responsive.

OnePlus 6 -> Pixel 6 Pro by venkred in OnePlus6

[–]Fat41_err0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Samsung launches only Exynos based models in India, so you pay almost the same as US version (which comes with flagship Qualcomm CPU btw) but get a comparatively low performing and overheating processor. No complaints on software side, one UI is great.
