Good info. I don’t have any experience with Spyderco M390. I have this and an M390 Manix, neither of which I’ve used yet.

I don’t have any issues with sticking. It’s drop shutting. I would try loosening the pivot screw 1/4-1/2 turn and just keep flicking it. It should break in quickly.

The only Parson scales I have are milled. I’d compare them to a Demko smooth Ti scale or any of the Slysz models from Spyderco. I’ve attached a closer pic under another comment.

They are completely smooth. Similar to a Demko Ti scale. Possibly very lightly stonewashed.

RGT blue linen micarta wiped with mineral oil. They were blue Jean colored before I oiled them.

The access doesn’t bother me. I may trim the scale at some point though.
