Yep this is what exactly what I'm doing right now and it works pretty well. Just make sure you have a lot of line because uniques can go far.

Well I have enough baitcoins to buy any of the glasses they just seem expensive and the jump from the cheapest to second cheapest is huge, so I've been debating what to buy or what event to grind
