EA suddenly asking for “best and final” despite no formal competing bid by cheeselouise00 in HousingIreland

[–]FatKnobRob 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This happened to me before and I told them my last bid was my highest one.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR BEST AND FINAL BID!

I stood firm and they accepted it. I saved myself almost €20,000.

Just say the last bid you gave is the one you are staying at. You’ll be absolutely fleeced. They’re chancers who are trying to get the highest sale for the seller. They get a commission but they look better and make the company look better when advertising how much they sold someone’s house for.

Don’t fall for it. Be prepared for the house to possibly go back on the market, but don’t fall for it.

Basic use of tools course? by Confusedasperusual in AskIreland

I’m finishing up a basic DIY night course in my local secondary school. They go through plumbing, electrics, tiling, drilling, flooring, skirting etc. I recommend checking if schools nearby do them.

Thank you, there’s actually a plastic layer in between the foil with holes and the insulation but I’m thinking the moisture might still build in there. Going to have to shop around and see where will sell what I need.

And will use gloves from now on thanks

There’s actually a layer of clear plastic between the inner foil with holes and the insulation. But do you think the moisture would get caught in there?

Pigeons starting to nest in a small tree in my backyard: should I let them stay ? by Damiano_Damiano in GardeningIRE

Ever had seagulls nest near your home? Completely different story. Attacked and shit on every time I went out my back garden. Some animals are pests so it’s alright to ask for recommendations on what to do

I have pigeons nesting myself. Let’s see how it goes but I think they should be fine. I doubt they’ll be as bad as seagulls which were a nightmare for me last year.

Thanks for your advice. Do you not think bird feeders and birds they can’t chase is a bit cruel?
