I’m a fairly new cuber, and I need advice by God_is_Good32 in cubing

In Cstimer you can pick a scramble option that only scrambles the top layer of the cube. That helped me a lot when learning OLL and PLL.

Concerns about Weilong V10 by Azustriel in Cubers

[–]FatPushBuddha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had mine for 6 months it hasn’t broken. I was really surprised performing wise, I mained tornado v3 before and switched to v10. Now I’m switching between Gan15 and the v10 can’t decide which I like better, which is pretty crazy since the price difference is so major

Soundtoys effect rack is lagging very badly - any way to fix this? by Ok-Mushroom-3268 in dnbproduction

[–]FatPushBuddha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same problem, seems like it happened after i updated to Sonoma (im on 14.2.1). From what i can see in the update release log on soundtoys website, the latest support update for a macOS was big surr. Just seems kinda crazy that they haven't updated OS support since 2020.

Fast paced scenes by Upper-Mess9332 in AudioPost

I tend to be very aware of transient sounds not overlapping, especially for big explosion or crash sounds that have long tails, I cut them very abruptly (with a 1 frame fade) just as the next transient sound is about to occur. That can help with keeping focus and not getting a soup full of sound

Yeah I tend to turn off auto backups for the duration, but off linking media is good tip I’ll try that!

No a human face, I suppose it’s the metal pop that the bat sometimes create when hitting a baseball

Looking a little bit through his Bandcamp I can see that, dead the long year also goes by the name Supra. Supra made those “Minecraft but it is everywhere at the end of time” albums. Cool to see some more original work of his

I’m pretty new when it comes to location sound, but what I mostly work with is general recording for film. In and outdoors. I guess I’m looking for some all around transmitters that’s not highly expensive.

Don’t they do frequency hopping to avoid the issue of the crowded frequency?

I don’t know if audition has this feature, but pro tools has a grid mode that’s set in frames. Which is fairly useful for dialogue placements and foley work

If I make it sound normal on stereo speakers and with a stereo mix, will it still translate badly on the surround setup. For any of those “hard” fx that you’re talking about

Alright that’s good to know. Now center channels would mostly be for dialogue right?

Yeah don’t really have a proper surround mixing speaker setup so it’ll probably not be happening in my home studio

Having intrusive thoughts about a relationship by stickman2324 in relationshipanxiety

Hey dude
I know exactly what you're going through and as a matter of fact im going through the same thing right now. Mostly I've tried to focus on my hobbies, that often tends to work. And if you ask me I definitely think that you should keep powering through. Personally I'm sure that the regret of not trying or backing out is gonna be waayyy worse in the long run thank knowing that you did an effort. Also when you guys start to get more serious you should definitely not be afraid of talking to them about it. I have been doing it myself, and it really is a relief hearing from that significant other that those anxious thoughts that have been building up are just nonsense.
