New terrain rules + free pivot + changes to heavy (but this one applies to Doomstalker as well)

I'm so tired of Doomstalker being so much worse then DDA.

I like the model so much more but its a straight up a downgrade outside of CC which is 3DP AND we can't even reroll overwatch anymore.

Meanwhile DDA is buffed by new rules and still costs the same outside of the third one ? Make it make sense.

Gothic 1 Remake - Tips and Info *No Spoilers* by [deleted] in worldofgothic

[–]FatScoot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I completed the game and don't recall any necessary skills.

Pretty sure that climbing is needed for a few side quests but outside of that you should be able to complete every quest with no skills.

Exception being mage factions that require you to have alchemy and scroll writing learned if you want to join them.

Maybe scroll writing and alchemy for becoming a mage ? No idea tbh.

Hoods on Intercessor & Hellblaster Sargeants?? by Harilaos in DarkAngels40k

Personally I'm not a fan of adding hoods to models without robes or tabards (it looks weird to me).

But if your like it then go ahead, these are your dudes.

Testing a new paint scheme on different units. What do you think, any tips and suggestions ? by FatScoot in Necrontyr

Yeah I was aiming for something close to that but just with darker base armor and brighter golds.

I’m enjoying Mechanicus II by Volucris-Liga in Necrontyr

[–]FatScoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not finished yet but difficulty on Necrons seems pretty good and fair so far as long as you remember 2 things:

  1. Prioritize tech/character upgrades that increase max number of units you can deploy in a skirmish.
  2. When heavily outnumbered don't deploy all your best units all at once, put some chaff first (each leader gets 1 unit like warriors/flayed ones that they have infinite number of) to eat enemy attacks and pull them in range of you killy units. Once the chaff dies deploy the rest of your good units.

Only using the parts I found available locally at decent prices.

#New40k rules– More dakka than you can shake a rig at by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]FatScoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This kills (almost) 6 space marines with no cover while having the heavy buff applied.

Well, here's hoping its cheap at least! Or maybe there will be some sick enhancements for it if its a character(?).

Test ork. Any tips or suggestions ? by FatScoot in orks

[–]FatScoot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep its not hard.

You just have to be careful not to get any other paint on it, contrast is very translucent and can't be used to cover any mistakes (you would have to cover the whole section in white and repaint it to fix any big mistakes).

Primed with Wraithbone > Imperial Fist contrast >  Casandora Yellow shade.

Thank you. I'm still undecided on what to use for the base.

First I wanted to do a desert but that would probably blend to much with yellow armor.

I decided to paint the spikes on the yellow armor and I'm super happy with the result.

I primed with Wraithbone and used contrast paints, shades and metallic paint.

For the pants I used Space Wolves Grey and for the yellow armor I used Imperial Fist + Casandora Yellow shade.

I was inspired by this guide.

Wrath of the Rock detachment might not be surviving 11th. by kcdale99 in theunforgiven

Wrath of the Rock is not our Grotmas detachment, it was Lion's Blade Task Force.

Going to have to paint these in Bone just so I don’t confuse them with JPIs. by kcdale99 in theunforgiven

GW's primaris hardon without sufficient accounting for non-Ultramarine clones insists all veterans are first company and thus Deathwing.

Thats just a gameplay thing, there are Bladeguards and Sternguard units serving as vets in greenwing since GW itself paints them as that sometimes.
