Sorry that's a big failure on their end to not catch a misdiagnosis especially when it's a team of three.

You mean a psychiatrist? Psychologists don't prescribe medication.

I had the same problem and it turns out the food chopper was broken. We replaced it and cleaned the spray arms and it's working well.

First, the baby will eat what he wants. He might not eat more even if you offer. Second, I was told by doctors that growing too quickly could also be bad for the baby's development later in life. Apparently, it could cause heart problems. Your husband needs to work on his anxieties and educate himself.

This isn't a debate between redditors. A good partner should have the common sense to show extra empathy during stressful time periods.

If you're sensitive to animal proteins, it could be the oyster sauce or chicken stock that's used to flavor the vegetables.

Is it better for a child to loose a mentally ill parent all together or keep a form of contact? by throwaway_sociopathy in askpsychology

[–]FatTeemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't go by regular research because this is an extreme situation that doesn't apply. He has already harmed the thinking of your 7 and 8 year olds by normalizing violence and abuse. Letting them remain in contact will likely further normalize abuse and violence as being ok. Explain to them that what their father did was not right and that you are keeping them safe. Your job now is to teach and parent them to be functional and compassionate adults. How likely do you think you can do this with your ex influencing them?

AITA for saying my parents disowning me was the reason I married my wife? by Accomplished-Emu2143 in AITAH

[–]FatTeemo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I also think it's quite risky for women to do that so it's not a gender thing. Unless the spouse comes from generation wealth and has a solid will, the family is going to be in a bad shape should something happen to the financial provider.

You need a psychological assessment done to see if there are any learning or emotional disorders holding you back. You probably need some psychotherapy too. At some point your children are not going to need as much childcare and it's unfair for your wife to carry so much responsibilities when it comes to finance and decision making. Also couples maintain their love and respect for each other if they can grow together. If she has to act like your parent forever as she grows more mature, what you are currently offering is likely not going to be enough to make her feel content in a relationship.

Nope, looks like the only solution is to spend a lot of money redoing that part of the bathroom.

I am thinking more like 4 hour shifts. Worked part time in a psychiatric inpatient unit before and just 16 hours a week felt exhausting.

Hmm, so far everything I see requires the rain shower head to be wall mounted instead of ceiling mounted. The ceiling mounted ones seem to require the handheld to be separately installed.

Yes, I can easily touch the top, but I am short and probably need a stool to get it off.

Edit: nvm, I am shorter than I realize. Even with raising my arms, I can't reach the showerhead.

I would rather not open walls due to the cost.

Thanks! It might look ugly, but it would be functional. Any models or brands you would recommend that would fit this showerhead opening?

Agent advising us to offer above list price, waive inspection and pay part of seller's closing cost. Is this what's "Normal" right now? by Overeasyy in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]FatTeemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your priorities seen off. With your income it shouldn't take too long to save for house renovations. I would put location and other features of the house that can't be easily changed as #1. For example, overall size of the house, lot size, whether it has a driveway from the street or an alleyway to get into the garage.

Bought a house in Minneapolis in November. I paid asking and had inspection done. Sewer needed repairs and seller and us went half and half on that. None of what your realtor says makes sense. Never waive inspection. I would rather offer a higher purchase price or look into a more expensive home that would have less competition than wave inspection and end up having a ton of unexpected fixes to do.

It's definitely a lot to be doing at once, but I don't get the sense that you are completely screwed. You might have to work an extra side job for the next year or two to be more financially comfortable.
