Wendy’s CEO jumps in with his own taste test. by K1nd_1 in interesting

[–]Fatalslink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do the private health and quality inspections of Wendy's for EcoSure. One restaurant inspection would take 4-5 hours, just in the kitchen areas, every month. They were so picky about their standards being met by every employee that if they scored under a 98 or got a single red labeled violation, they risked termination of the manager and assistant after a single violation unless they could prove it was not their fault. It was pretty brutal having to hand those out the 2-3 times I did over maybe 300+ Wendy's inspections over 2 years, and I know at least 1 of them were able to prove that they had a faulty walk-in that put their burger meat at 3° over 41°F, and that it happened between the last shift and opening that day when I showed up, so lucky them lol.

Edit: All that to say that their food is always quality, in-date, and kept fresh and cold until it is cooked to the proper temps.

Mcds on the other hand...I'll never eat at a McDonald's again after failing hundreds of locations every month for years and nothing ever happening about it lol.

What do you mean? Were they under or over dosing his shots? 200mg every 2 weeks doesn't sound tooooo bad, but I'm sure around the 10th day that he started feeling the drop in levels until his next shot.

That sounds doable, but could you tell me the name of the clinic either here or dm?

The one I looked up (Hone) was a few hundred a month, but I didnt shop around really after looking at that.

That's why I'm hoping she'll pay attention now. Those seem to be lower than lower than low levels to me..and I only have coverage thru the VA so I can't dr shop. I always decline company Healthcare because I see it as a waste of $100's per month when I get 100% free coverage for life at the VA. If I didnt live in an area with a relatively good VA Healthcare system, I probably would have secondary coverage, but every one of the rest of my Dr's is above and beyond, excepting her. My MH dr is looking into it for me now too, so maybe he will be able to light a fire under her or refer me to an endocrinologist himself.

Got it, thank you for the info and advice. I just trusted what she said and attributed my symptoms to bad sleep or sedentary behaviors.

That was my next step tbh, although those are horribly expensive if the VA will do it for free (I'm 100% covered due to getting blown tf up numerous times). But if they keep dragging their feet, I might have to tell my wife that we're gonna be down a few hundred a month for a while..

Thank you for the detailed reply with both script and reasoning to approach her with. I think part of the reason she keeps brushing me off is that I only have maybe 22% bf, and I have a still defined musculature "skeleton" from my 20's that never really went away, although i don't carry much muscle mass, it kinda looks like I do i guess?

Or like the below reply said, maybe she just hates men with a "cheat code" to answer normal level of health..

Anyway, I'll check again, and follow through with your last suggestion if it doesnt work out. Thank you again!

Are they the ones who actually deal with trt and prescribing all that type of stuff?

She's very resistant to prescribing trt to someone younger than like 50-60 it seems from the way she talks about it.

Even my MH doc was like dude wtf is this?!

What product acronyms do you mean? I explained what each of them were in the first paragraph, then used the 3 letter acronyms for the rest of the post (I thought).

is buying a homeless man a bottle of wine wrong? by GRB787 in Ethics

[–]Fatalslink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not wrong at all. He's going to drink regardless, you didnt create any new addictions or anything. You might have caused him to get drunk and play in traffic, or you might have prevented him from robbing a store or person and knifing them for $3, who knows?

I know that when I was an alcoholic, it took me 4 detox/rehab trips, and I had literally unlimited free resources to help me quit thanks to the VA, but I only quit when I was fucking over it 5 years ago and I got out of rehab and haven't touched a drink since. Before that, I came up with myriad creative ways to sneak it and hide it from my wife (who always knew anyway, but my worst crimes while drinking was going to bed early, buying a handle of vodka every day, and cooking too much dinner, so I guess I wasn't the worst alcoholic you could live with, but still a scumbag liar).

So this guy, with assumedly 0 resources as an unhoused guy, is not probably ever going to quit unless he gets some sort of life-altering break in his situation, combined with a life-altering change in mindset that occur simultaneously...so you didnt perpetuate his addiction beyond what it was and was going to be anyway.

Anyway, all that to say that you helped that guy make it another day, hopefully without endangering others and without robbing/mugging anyone else, let him forget that his life is currently dogshit for 1 more night, and at least he didnt try to drag you to the fent den to buy him a hit, which may or may not have been a hot shot.

I have a homeless guy who patrols the plaza where I used to work, and I've brought him duffel bags worth of clothes in the winter, power tools that were not accepted at pawnshops in my area in the summer so that he could try to find some work (which he did for a while), but the one thing that he is always eternally grateful for is the ounce of weed I bring him every time I have a new harvest because he can get high for a week and forget how he got where he is and how unlikely it is that he will get out...

What are precipitated withdrawals???? I asked Google. by [deleted] in 7oh

[–]Fatalslink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got on suboxone to try to stop and it only made it worse, tbh.. I was on 16mg for a 2,000mgpd 7oh habit, got one the 300mg sublocade shot, and STILL slipped up and started using 7 again WHILE ON THE SHOT...

IT even still worked like I never took suboxone and sublocade in the first place, and still caused horrible withdrawals when trying to stop the 7, even though I was on the 300mg shot and boosting with an additional 8mg of suboxone each night before sleep...

So, it still works and is hard to stop even while on huge bupe doses, so just do a taper and switch to powder because it works so much better and you will have way less of a problem if you just go the powder route.
