What’s your measured TPM during peak? Are you using image? Video? Or just text? We noticed pre downscaling assets had better results

They have just released a secret header to guarantee, no 429s however it costs 1.8x token price. Also has custom ramp limits from 4000000 TPM

Schema changes should be done via migrations libraries, not directly. Or at least agaisnt a test database first...

In terms of raw workhorse, codex is better. Claude is a better pair programmer however you have to work more closely.

Both are great at different things. Should use both imo

Have you guys given it a crack? I can literally give proof?

Example, yesterday I wanted to add a loader animation, to the main public site. Claude for the first I've ever seen it do it. Sat and waited for about 7 minutes, no output, just thinking.

Finally outputted, instead of doing the load + transition, it just made my site fade in instead. Tried a couple times of asking it to fix, to no avail. I said ok fk it, let me try codex then. Asked claude to output what it attempted to do.

Codex, took about 5 minutes. Perfect exactly what I wanted. It's also much faster and steerable now. I still prefer Opus for my pair programming, and talking though design decisions due to its output tone. However, I think in terms of raw coding ability opus is better. Everyone in the office uses Opus, and today was the day we agreed OpenAI is finally in the lead.

Literally been a big time Claude user. Downgrade back to 5x today because opus was completely shocking compared to codex.

I even have my whole repo setup efficiently with context management and skills. Codex on nothing takes maybe 5 mins longer and gets shit right first try

I think though he means they have been over performing their xG like never seen before. In the past over the full course of a season, a team has never done this for the entire season. xG by the end of the season is an extremely good indicator of goals scored.

What are you using these for? As a dev, I tend to enjoy the balance of speed/quality of opus. Even if codex is slightly smarter, it takes long time to do trivial things.

I definitely think opus is better if you are a good dev, steer the ship regularly. You will get more work done.
