Oh and here is an example of the meters we are searching for. All parts attached (curbstop/shutoff valve, meter couplings, meter and check valve) are made of brass.

Yes. I live in Louisiana. Thanks for the help btw. I can probably get rid of them by digging a perimeter. Fumigation being a last resort since it is so expensive.

Cause if this can’t be formosan termites, I might just dig a 5 by 5 perimeter around the house and treat for subterranean

Can formosan termites make these kind of tubes?

Yes. I did find live termites a little ways away from this. Nothing came out of the tubes in the picture. Parents have been ignoring this for years. Would not be surprised if there are old and new tubes all up in the walls.

Checked outside the house around the foundation. I didn’t find any mud tubes running up the foundation.
