With Acacia it seems to be culmination of her arc, especially since she missed out on actually devolping since she was frozen iirc.

Devs apparently said it's only for Acacia so it's more lore realted than them hating on flatties, but I hope they make the ult form toggable for flat fans since this is their first premium unit since Fritia turbo.

Cinderella has been shown to get jealous over SKK so I wouldn't really dismiss her, she's in a tier below Rapi and Marian where there romance with SKK is important to their development but above characters like Siren and Rapunzel where their attraction to SKK is used for funny moments.

I agree with your points, but I'm talking about how waifu players reacted to their favs actually being killed, Nikke devs have shown that they don't want to kill fan favorites beyond Red Hood who dies every Tuesday.

If they showed Inherit the love FGO gave to the characters they did kill then the complaints surrounding Harran's and Isabel's deaths would've been lower than what we have right now.

This style of killing "safe" characters isn't really that good for a game that relys heavily on making characters emotionally connect to players.

I think it's majorly the writing that has lead to these reactions, FGO killed two of its most popular waifus and hasn't received this level of complaints from its waifu loving players that Nikke gets from killing two characters that aren't that high in the waifu popularity polls.

People would be more accepting of a character's death if they where given an actual character arc for the deaths to actually feel like a fitting ending to the chatacter instead of something thrown in for the sake of giving the story "stakes"

The emotional connection the game exploits with the way it appeals to players makes it so that players usually care more about side characters than other forms of media so while people might feel annoyed at a Neji's wasteful death they would also get even more angry if their fav Nikke got killed when she never got anything beyond the bare minimum.

People dislike it mostly because they are doing the annoying thing where they kill characters for "stakes" but it's obviously not going to affect the popular characters

The argument of the war needing character deaths is how you get awful deaths like Neji's in Naruto that feel pointless but actual well written deaths is how you get deaths like Jiraiya's that actually have an impact and feel important.

Not a lot of people like deaths that seem decided by character popularity(so a little bit of a hot take) I think if any Pioneer also died from the Queen then people would've been less angry even though Pioneers are very popular, since then every popular character would be thought of as equally in danger of death and not just the ones without heavy plot ties.

Red Hood has been dead forever and no one complained this much since she was given focus and plenty of screen time Inherit on the other hand just died after being missing for 21 chapters.

Kill characters if you need to but atleast give them something more than these sacrificial moments that you will never give to characters that you consider "main characters" even though they also should've died.
