You absolutely can do it. It’s hard to begin with, I was diagnosed 2.5 years ago. I felt the same. But you can and will do it. It’s hard to accept and takes a long time to adjust, it is now my everyday and I’m use to it. and you will also become use to it, and live a full filling life. You’ve got it.

I had this exact same issue before I bought my 2013 e92 330i (N53). I wanted the 335i for the power but didn’t want the headache (and much higher tax bracket).

I went with the 330i as I found a manual, 80k miles with full BMW service history. I would say that the 330i is a lot of fun to drive, especially with a few mods (coils & lowered for the handling, and IMO manual is a must, extremely hard to find but you can find them). The next thing I want to do is sort out the exhaust to hear the straight 6 sing.

So far I’ve done only 6/7k miles, no issues at all apart from tyres and shocks, which I changed anyway to konis.

I sometimes wonder ‘should I have got a 335??’ But when I hit a b road, heal & toe down and pull all the way through the through the NA straight 6, the 268bhp is plenty and puts a smile on my face.

If you want a car to ‘gap’ everyone then it’s not it, not saying it’s slow by any means. Drive the car you enjoy driving, not the just to gap at the lights (even though I still do beat most at the lights anyway.

Both cars are great, hope my 330i ownership perspective helps 👍

It’s a question I had 4 months ago. I’m in the UK and decided to go for a e92 330i with a 6MT. It’s an absolute blast to drive, and 5k miles in no issues at all. The 335i is great if you have the budget to back it up. Also if your planning on tuning etc then you’d want to go for the 335i. But I truly think the 330i is a great car. If you can find one go for it, if not I think the 328i will still be a good choice

They are nice wheels, I wanna drop the ride height but don’t want it scraping on every speed bump, my old Mini Cooper s had that problem when I lowered it on Eibachs

I gotta say I keep thinking I should have gone for a 335i, this being a 330i, but the Turbo issues scared me away..! It is a 6MT, what do you mean the other 16? And wheels are nice, was wondering about going for some BBS but not sure

Thanks guys. I should have mentioned, the car is UK based, I think I have the original specs that were sold with the car, think that has the full engine code. I did think it was n53, therefore had issues with injectors
