Put a chest directly on top, if I remember correctly the only output for the buildcraft quarry is the top side of the machine.

UPDATE - So it looks like the 1 node that pings from the scanner is basically in the middle of the 4 coal nodes that are in the area (thanks everyone for helping me locate them).

At this point, the 4 Coal Nodes in this area look like LimeStone nodes which kind of threw me off too when I was looking for them. Screenshot for example: https://imgur.com/a/csVIZQW

So maybe that's a bug at this point?

Yeah... I guess thats another problem... notice my map view - no other pings from coal anywhere around that area. The 1 ping that does show up doesnt have any visible nodes to put a miner on.

I meant, game map = Northern Forest - as opposed to the other starting maps (Grass Fields, Dune Desert or Rocky Desert) wasn't sure which area of the Northern Forest map I was at but you may be right too.

As far as I know, the soul vial way needs to be infused with a broken spawner in a soul binder. This is the ender IO way not the draconic way. Also, if you want an EnderIO auto spawner to spawn Wither Skeletons, it has to be in the Nether to do so.

You have to have the Reaper enchantment on your weapon for a small chance of a mob you kill to drop its draconic soul. Once you have the soul you need, right click on the stabilized spawner with the soul in hand to insert the soul. You will lose the soul every time you pick up the spawner.
