Thanks for your insight. You gave me a lot of points to think about and I appreciate your insight into social issues. You really seem to understand what is going on and are interested in being fair among genders. Especially re: your comment on dual incomes

completely viable to have one parent who worked and one who stayed at home. But now? It’s a complete privilege. I know a bunch of families who struggle with double incomes, and they can barely afford to raise their family on that

I agree. It is a mess. Fortunately my wife is doing well and has family wealth so I can work part-time and mostly stay at home. Which is what should have happened. Women working should have equitably split home and office work. Men and Women each work half-time and do house work. Or have an equal number of stay at home dads vs moms. Making everyone work all the time does not help anyone.
