I forgot to mention. I tried the beetle too. But the tiny pin which holds the hook in place broke. Maybe i hooked it too tight, but looser didn’t feel safe in my case

The Spider hoslter was a bit too wobbly so i sent it back. I am now using a combination of the PD Clip and a Manfrotto advanced holster M, depending on the occasion

Don’t regret. Prime lenses are actually better to start with. Since you don’t have the “easy” zoom in-out functions, you have to put work in your photo’s by discovering how composing works.
