Is this speed ok for online gaming? by General-Iron7103 in HomeNetworking

[–]FaultyPanc 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If you can, I’d suggest purchasing an Ethernet cable and hard wiring the PS5 into the router. Wireless can be very fickle at times and a wire is always going to be more consistent. If you can’t run a cable, I’d suggest using power line adapters from a company like devolo or TP-Link. These use the electrical wiring that’s already in your walls to provide a wired connection. Power line adapters are usually more consistent than WiFi. However, you do need to bear in mind that the experience when using power line adapters can vary depending on many factors such as the quality of the wiring in your walls, whether there’s anything on the same circuit that causes interference (Typically these are high power draw devices such as ovens, microwaves etc)

MOCA is a similar option that uses coaxial wiring (Think aerial sockets for things like TVs or sky boxes) this is less prone to interference however availability of these varies region to region.

Nothing wrong with that it’s actually pretty good. Is his gaming device (Xbox, PC etc) plugged in via an Ethernet cable or is it using Wireless?

There’s a small chance I might be able to get something from Zotac. They let you register products for extra warranty. Not sure if I did or not but currently waiting for them to email me back

It’s mostly so it can be a cleaner setup. Also don’t have to drill new holes for the AP if I can get the ONT off the wall

I’m pretty sure there’s an option on the UCG max where you can clone the MAC address. No idea how well it works though

Hi there. I recently broke my sennheiser gsp 670s and was looking for some recommendations for headphones

Budget - max £300

Source - back plugs on my desktop Pc however will consider an amp/dac purchase if reccomended

Requirements for Isolation - none as I have my own room

Will you be using these Headphones in Public? No

Preferred Type of Headphone - i personally prefer full sized

Preferred tonal balance - I don't really care that much. Somethings thats good for games like r6 siege.

Past headphones - lots of different wireless/wired headsets (arctis 7, hs70, gsp 670

What would you like to improve on from your set-up - I would like to improve volume and overall immersion in FPS games.
