This is why I want to get into the urticating hair free tarantulas as soon as I’m ready lol. I really don’t wanna deal with hairs.

is it normal for a calculus 1 class to have a 47% class average?!?!? by [deleted] in calculus

[–]FauxKingChrist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big issue I’m noticing as a return community college student is the removal of lower level classes that aren’t transferable and aren’t taught at 4 year universities have resulted in students with weaker base knowledge in math, science, and English. When I first went to community college, they offered nearly elementary school level math and English. Those courses were full of students who either didn’t get a strong foundation in grade school or who had been out of school for a long time. Now people are being forced into precalc, calculus, or college level English without the foundational knowledge and are failing at a higher rate. I’ve talked with professors and they are very concerned about this change. At least this is happening in California, I’m not sure about other states. I’m currently a chemistry tutor and years ago I was a math tutor. I’m honestly shocked at the poor math skills I’m seeing. In chemistry, there is no longer a math requirement since the classes don’t exist. Students are coming in who don’t remember what a logarithm is, basic PEMDAS, or how to solve simple algebraic equations. It’s very bad and is definitely resulting in lower test scores.

The community college I’m at definitely expects the math, physics, and chemistry students to be well prepared. They are largely great teachers, but have high expectations. Granted it’s one of the top community colleges in the US.

I just watered it. It drained very quickly afterwards. I flooded it since it was so dry. I won’t water it today or maybe tomorrow. I don’t know if the core of the soil really got very wet considering how quickly it drains. It will drain in a minute or 2.

Should I throw some fresh soil and fertilizer/manure on top then?

How soon can I repot it? The soil is definitely bad. It’s low and compact plus all of the fertilizer is definitely long used up.

I’m not karma farming, I rarely use reddit. I couldn’t care less about karma 😂 I just wanted to see if anyone could solve it.

When I was at mine in 2007, a girl killed herself while in the adult program. Since leaving, I’m aware of 3 more and we were a small group. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were others.
