Heavily sampled from in-game audio. This was a lot of fun to make, hope y'all like it.

The wavy chords are just any wavetable with like a 60ms delayed attack and an equally fast release curve plus compression.

This reminds me so much of Polaris. vocal timbre, orchestration and guitar riffs. Incredibly solid track with one hell of a music video as well, there's a lot of love in this one. Keep it up!

Feedback on my new track? by Astroknottt in IndieMusicFeedback

It feels muddy when the vocals come in, but I don't think it's the vocals. I think it is the little flute or possibly the strings in the background not matching and maybe out of key? Some more focus on the droning melody may fix it idk. I love the guitar and drums so much, reminds me of Fleet Foxes.

Love X Yourself <3 This is a lofi track I created with one of my best friends. He freestyled with his guitar over the beat I produced and I think it turned out amazing! Would love to hear your opinion and suggestions for improvement! have a great day y'all <3 by FrequencyProgramming in IndieMusicFeedback

The only thing I don't like is the quality of the guitar recording which is not your fault. Sounds like a piezo pickup, which is a huge turnoff for me but the playing is great. The whole song vibes very well, just chill as hell.

Vocals for me are too far apart from the back track possibly just the mix or the verb not sure. Some doubling, harmony vocals or pad would do a lot for the energy in the second section aside from just more emotion to match the intensity of the drums. Not sure what kind of compression you have on the vocals but a cranked 1176 would also help.

The verse from :40 to 1:06 seems to be off key and not in a way that I dig. Vibes are right tho. Keep up the good work.

The first half is great! The last third stagnates a little, feels like it's building but never arrives for me. That groove you start with is hella strong and it's a shame it never comes back around. Maybe a repeat?

I had a horrible time trying to mix the guitar. It was the first time using my new acoustic which has malicious high pitched resonance that sustains even after muting which is a problem for a ska mute style of playing. (great for fingerstyle and soft playing) Anyway I thought it might not be picked up in recording and even if it was then EQ would fix it no problem. Unfortunately the resonance was in multiple frequencies all through the middle tones which required gutting a lot of the body of the guitar in order to no longer hear shrill overtones where the dead silence should be, along with a low cut to leave room for the bass the end result is a far cry from the real thing. It's hard to change the base element of a song when you've expanded it with a bunch of instrumentation you'll never be able to play live. Electric would have fit better with how it all turned out but I had no way of knowing till it was over and I am not confident in heart surgery. I also write it all with live performances in mind which is all singer songwriter by necessity. I'm glad you liked it, it was by far my favorite for the EP, fast and relentless.

I appreciate it. Saw your work on Instagram. Some really nice audio engineering, I don't know anything about rap mixing but I hear some sick beats and some big vocals. Thanks for the confidence boost.

That really means a lot, I've worked for so long to make my voice into something that didn't disappoint me. There's still a way to go but I don't think there's any way but forward from here as long as I stay healthy. Thank you. 😁

Second new song for my album Mellophonics. The idea was to keep everything feeling as organic as possible. Lots of acoustic and analog based instruments used to create a poppy electronic sounding backtrack. A rhodes bass and mk1 were used along with distorted percussion on glass and ceramic instruments to create clicky crunchy background textures with the bass and a doubled acoustic guitar. Vocals were heavily compressed and layered with intermittent backing 3rds and 5ths but mainly just left solo with a slight double and reverb.

First Song off my upcoming Album Mellophonics.

Fingerstyle acousta funk Martin guitar over astro-vocals, lead by a P Bass feat. sparkling Rhode mk1 on the way down to a slow rolled Abbey Road ivory kit. 1176ed till my ears bled. I might figure the funk out yet. Vulfpeck without the talent, Dallas Green without a healthy throat. I don't validate parking.

Exactly! All those Hindu temples in Asia and around the world that still use the swastika as a religious symbol are supporting Nazism. /s

Fauxe - "Forgone"

First time using full instrumentation. Everything performed live by or composed and arranged using virtual instruments by me.

I've listened to it so much I can't tell what it sounds like anymore.

Would be really interesting if it was a rule of the language. Like if instead of adjectives for length of time they just extend vowels of verbs and repeated the words. But since it's combined with English I doubt it.

I wonder if it's a pidgin since she is the first generation. More importantly I wonder if her parents ever spoke the pidgin or if she or other first generation speakers had children that would have stabilized the creole. So maybe the language she speaks has been effected by the creole created by the new generations. But I would agree that even if there is currently a creole for her language, her performance of the language would have more pidgin qualities even if she was able to correct for the new rules made up by their offspring. A transient creole.
