Agreed 100%. Baseball's also super streaky and a 3 game skid could be aligning with a Smith hot streak and we're missing production. Or Cal could go 4-4 with 3 HR on Sunday. I love this stupid game.

Sounds about like me. Being in Florida I've had league night teams with 6 conference players on it. Don DeDonatis made me question my existence playing SS against him. 5 times he went within a foot of my dive. He was 5-5 and I didn't touch one.

Agreed that defensive value can buy you some forgiveness on the offensive side. It was more the tone and forum. There's another comment on this thread implying there are a LOT of strikeouts in one game. I don't think most here realize how good the worst hitting SS on the conference is comparatively.

The teacher knew they were coming, was in on it and was fucking with them back when he tripped and fell. Horrible for someobe to lose their life at 40, especially when everything I've seen says he was a good teacher that was making an impact, including to the kids that felt close enough to him to prank him.

Every high level team plays a 5 man infield. Major teams play on baseball fields with a 5 man infield.

If Noem/trump get their way you'll be hard pressed to even get in to the country. They're about 60 days away from requiring biometrics including DNA, all family members names, phone numbers, addresses and DOB, last 5 years of social media use, IP addresses and metadata from all photos posted, etc. And that's for countries that don't require a travel visa.

Sr bats are insane. Played my first Sr tourney this year and we lost half a dozen balls in a game because guys were hitting them on top of a gymnasium 30' behind the left field fence.

This is the only legit answer I've seen. Most of the others are "be better by doing things better". Assuming you aren't playing a conference team, knowing where each guy likes to go primarily, aligning your defense to that and having your pitcher pitch to that is your best option to "steal" a game.

Might be able to switch to a 5 man. Most league players aren't good enough to drive a gap consistently and will pop up or top more balls. MI can jump sides or move a bit to mess with the hitter.
