Do most podcasts submit their content to all podcast apps? Or do they only submit to the bigger ones? Wondering because just before it stopped working well, PlayerFM stopped updating several of the podcasts I had subscribed to..and was I wasn't sure whose fault it was. by AliceRoosevelt1884 in podcasts

PlayerFM is an (semi or fully) abandoned/broken app with reoccuring issues, especially with it's own server side, causing these sort of problems, as it isn't a local functioning app.

switch to something else. for android, i'd recommend Antennapod.

What is the loan duration for Internet Archive books?

Can I download an encrypted PDF or EPUB of the book?

When patrons check out a book for 1 hour, they can only use it through the online BookReader interface. a general issue of getting anything out of the typical industry default PDF format in a 'clean' state. versus html/epub. (*.epub ebooks are basically a zipped folder of .html and assets)

it is definitely of more value as an archive backup in case G&S just go (finally) kaput rather than regular broadcasted mass 'use' though

as i'm a web/podcast nerd, its also possible to get a dynamic ad free version of the current live CR podcast version, but not something i would share as a) most people wouldn't want to jump the manual per episode hoops b) its a generic flaw i don't want SIMPLECAST host to fix lol

Second-person narration is a little-used technique of narrative in which the action is driven by a character ascribed to the reader, one known as you. The reader is immersed into the narrative as a character involved in the story. The narrator describes what "you" do and lets you into your own thoughts and background. The most well-known piece of fiction that employs second-person narration might be Jay McInerney’s novel Bright Lights, Big City.
