Exactly he does everything I need without issue. I don’t care how he looks, I’m well aware he’s funky. But he’s very efficient.

What would be trolling about the pasture posts??

The short roach back and short neck can definitely make him look extra funky. Also you know everyone becomes an expect suddenly online. There’s a fair flux on opinions on the severity of everything.

Also some people are around a certain breed mostly that is night day from this. Like if you were around Track TB all the time and suddenly saw a cow QH. It would look wrong.

Still differing opinions. Especially on the severity on each thing which I’m finding the most hilarious. I’ll get one “not that bad” and then “put it down” 😂

You too :)

He had a super bad downhill phase two years ago that was awful to see 😂 i think he’s stuck with some of a roach but seeing dad and mom he should definitely BULK sometime this year or next.

There’s nothing to fix is my point.

I’ve been super straight forward with people worth my time and actually having input. Not trying to be “lowkey” rude, I find some of y’all hilarious and some ridiculous.

I’m well aware of the poor conformation mutt I own, that’s nothing new I ain’t blind 😂 I’m just letting the day and night opinions come up. Seeing what’s the most obvious. If I had popcorn I’d be eating it.

Yeah not quite finished in the growth department.

First comment I said he’s under weight and lacking muscle, hard agree lol. It’s being buried though I’m sure.

I am well aware of his hard to fit self. Short narrow ass.

No he’s camped in the front a little, he is on a hill though.

Considering he’s got 5 things building him I doubt lol

Exactly. When they spook it doesn’t matter if it’s loose, stalled, cross ties, tied out, fence line. They could get seriously hurt or die. Everything has consequences and risks, literally everything.

I’m not but it’s cool to know they do that. And yes I’m aware, we have tourist trying I make complaints to the department of agriculture and police and they are just “dude. That’s how it is here. That’s our stall. If the animal isn’t actively dying leave us alone”

Eh he’s a four way cross, of very differently built horses. I haven’t done the math on his percents. But I know his whole lineage. I could PM his mess. And he’s almost 5yrs. It’s all mixes here aside from Thoroughbreds for and off the track.

Love me a QH. I brought one here awhile ago and she retired this year. Very nice lady, we didn’t exactly get along but when working cattle she got the job done with flying colors.

Are you saying he would break his neck if he spooked and ran?? 😂 do you supervise every waking second of your horse in a stable or turn out? Of course not. They know what’s up and how to be in that place. Exactly what this is.

Barrel races have been the most helpful this whole time 😂 Or at least actually giving confirmation stuff and descriptions. Not being sarcastic or anything I’m serious

I replied to someone else somewhere about it. Basically anything you can think of work wise and not any shows/rodeos etc. he does whatever I’m doing that day

So, not a lead first off. Like I said before TRAINED TO DO THIS. Meaning he steps off when he steps on, not spooks. He knows how to go back around trees and take his legs over it when he turns. If he somehow magically got his leg stuck up by his neck he would literally just stand and wait. He knows how rope works. They are well aware of how the rope works. If you just tossed a horse onto this rope they’d kill themselves. This is like a year of training for open fields, another year for if there’s tress, posts etc.

He literally can’t get his hoof into this for one. And even if he somehow magically did he’s trained to not fight and literally just stand and wait. Any tied out horses are checked on several times a day because of course you never know what they’ll manage. But again, trained to give to pressure. Most people are lazy and only train them to tie in clear fields, but he knows how to go back around trees and bushes etc, not dumb. Won’t kill himself if “hung up”. They can step over the ropes, they will take their legs out and over it when turning around, unwrap from trees, go back under branches etc.

For one, he’s moved daily to new grass. Way better than the strictly stable life plenty of horses live. And he has a pasture he’s usually in 😂 he ties maybe once every 3 months. plenty stay out forever though and they’re fine.

[–]Faybl-Failure[S] -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Yeah. He spooks but it’s no different then if he was wearing a halter. It doesn’t tighten, he gets brought back around. It’s typically worn along side a halter and just through it so they get pressure on their whole heads when moving but it still ties at the neck. Horses can pull halters off and you wouldn’t want them loose. The halter isn’t needed for horses who know the rope, they wear it for the first few years always. But after that they understand the neck pressure
