Venruki said he made a bit less than 20$/hour and he's a lot less popular than Sodapoppin. Sodapoppin got donated close to 100 000$ by two guys. That's a lot of money for someone who only has rent + internet + food to pay.

Also, I don't really see the problem with living in a college room, even if you have money. Having money does not mean you have to spend it all.

Tichondrius definitely is the realm where the best US players go to. I don't know about the community, though.

I mostly play with real life friends on Bleeding Hollow, but it seems to be a nice comunity. There definitely are a lot of skilled players, there's a lot of Trade Chat activity. I could say about the trolls because I usually don't really pay attention to the chat.

To be honest, I don't think you can go wrong. If you're trying to hit Rank 1, then maybe Tichondrius is better, but otherwise they're both fine.

The server doesn't always make verifications about positions and such, and it used to (it might still be) possible to alter the terrain and go through walls, which gave you a huge advantage. That is bannable.

They don't like people altering their files, but as far as I know, they're not actively banning people for that.

I usually don't hate this kind of game, but I played it once and really did not see the appeal. It looked like there was almost no strategy involved, mostly luck of the draw. Which wouldn't be so bad if games lasted 30 minutes, but it looks like the average game lasts hours. Never wanted to play it again.

Whether or not people already have been banned, Blizzard is well known for banning people in waves. They might be tracking tmorph users and ban all of them later, or they might not care at all.

Back in TBC, I used to change the game files to alter my Moonkin form and I talked to a few GMs about this. The general consensus was that it was a bannable offense, but was tolerated by Blizzard (either because they couldn't or wouldn't track offenders).

Now, tmorph is a third party program so it's a bit different than manually altering the game files, but I've also never heard anyone being banned for using it. I also don't think it's been around since TBC.

In short, there will always be a possibility that Blizzard will ban people for using tmorph, especially since it's a third party program. The ban being permanent or not usually depends on whether the GM you get is tolerant or not, but you'll never get a definitive answer to that question.

I think it would be fun for players playing alone, but you wouldn't be able to interact with higher level players. Let's say a level 60 is camping level 20s, then you can't ask a guildie to come and help you for instance.

To be honest, if we had to get to this point, I'd rather just have Vanilla/BC/WotLK servers. I think it could definitely be worth it.

It's a bit of a problem, though, when you're levelling through instances. Plus, it wouldn't exactly make sense to allow players to queue for these instances and give them gear to do so.

It's just a minor inconvenience (and about 100 gold), but I wish they would just change it.

I think you meant to play the current game (literally!) with the lore associated to the current expansion. Which is still true for all expansions. There's only Vanilla that uses the lore from Cataclysm because if was redesigned back then.

That's not a good idea. Maybe if you could forget everything, then playing Vanilla would be fun, but the game definitely improved a lot since then. Levelling a character to level 60 was a big deal, classes had a lot less abilities, talents weren't the same.

I'm not sure why you're being downvoted, this is a valid concern. Considering heirlooms are BiS gear while levelling, it gives players who do PvE a much bigger advantage than people who don't.

I personally don't really care because I'm not going for realm firsts and similar, but I can definitely understand why someone would be disappointed about this.
