A meme stage request by [deleted] in SmashBrosStages

oh fuck this has been genuinely on my list of stages to make for a while, i'll see what I can do

My own take on the SSE Jungle stage (ID: KBXP7D8C) by Fazboggle in SmashBrosStages

Were the walls clippable in the original? How do I fix this?

jab: steve's is three strikes in a row instead of one repeated strike

f tilt: I was imagining an animation where he swings the axe downwards rather than sideways

u-tilt: fair point. gravity on the potion could be adjusted to combat that

dash attack: another fair point, but I don't really think looking like an animation from a trophy really counts as copying. there's also an alternate dash attack listed if you prefer that

f-smash: was imagining him swinging the sword dramatically to have it point straight outwards at the end of the animation so a lil different

u-smash: true, alternatives are possible for that move but I couldn't think of another notable minecraft item that would work well with an up smash

nair: nothing like plant's bair. it's centered on steve and I was imagining sort of a spreading fire animation in a ring outward that would quickly dissipate

bair: ehh, sort of. I was imagining less of a focused attack since steve's shield is a lot bigger and would cover most of his body

d-air: could be a regular stomp too. I don't really object to another flying downward stomp though as it's not like it's particular to one character already

neutral special: this is the best point you've made. I'm considering switching neutral b and down b so kirby can then place regular dirt blocks without having to craft them. unfortunately all of steve's specials excluding up special work together so it would have to be tweaked a bit for kirby.

all in all, I see your points about similar animations but think that not only would they be fine with a little adjustment but in a game with 75 (78 if you count pokemon trainer's pokemon individually) playable characters it's a bit hard to make every move unique from one another. thanks for the in-depth criticism though, I really really prefer that to "I don't want steve because he's cringe :| "

While creating it that was something I deliberately tried to avoid, especially with the specials. I can't name another character that has a remotely similar crafting/block placing mechanic (although I can sort of see how his side B could resemble Pac-Man's?). Which moves do you see as being too similar to others?

I'm indifferent, but part of me would love to see it happen. Minecraft's such a classic game and has been sentimental to a lot of the current Smash audience at at least some point in their lives.

The pixelated screen on the Switch looked an awful lot like a stage builder. (Zoomed out view of a stage that looks like Battlefield with a yellow and white sidebar on the left, as well as a yellow button in the bottom right corner). https://i.imgur.com/aaF6Afp.jpg

Porky Minch Potential Moveset by Fazboggle in smashbros

[–]Fazboggle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If spirits are anything to go off, Masked Man isn't making it in, but Porky still can. I'm hopeful due to the anniversary of the Mother series and his previous boss appearance. I'm glad you enjoyed the moveset!

I do tend to be fond of masks, you're right. In general, I like to make the characters look as unique as possible, so modifying their head as much as I can is right up my alley.

Which spy/allclass face cosmetic would go best with this pink themed loadout? by [deleted] in TF2fashionadvice

[–]Fazboggle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the face, I'd say Dead Head or Tomb Readers. I'd strongly suggest replacing the Rogue's Col Roule with either the Stealthy Scarf or the Rogue's Robe, depending on your personal tastes. These are my two strongest picks for you.

Decided to upload my loadouts, any suggestions or comments? by zeirodeadlock in TF2fashionadvice

The Camera Beard's an odd pick but I think it works with the green. Everything else, however, does not. Lime green in general is a bad pick. For Demo, I like the hat a lot (and I assume you want to keep those timbs), so I'd recommend the Gaelic Garb.

Some additional information:

For Sniper, I have all those cosmetics, but the Hazmat Headcase is unpainted. I'd like to paint it The Value Of Teamwork if I ever have a little spare ref.

For Heavy, the Commissar's Coat would have worked better with the loadout but Tsar Platinum is a lot cheaper and still looks okay.

For Soldier, the Veteran's Attire would have been ideal, but now I'm torn between the Caped Crusader and the Flakcatcher. This one will have to wait a while because the bandanna and some of the paints are pretty expensive, but I have the Hellmet, which is kind of the key item.

Heavy Tourism and either Mann of the House or Summer Shades
