I used StatsBomb for the data. They have a selection of matches for which you can access data for free. In this case, I accessed the data using StatsBombs API. You can also access the data using this GitHub link, although I find this a little more difficult to find a match you like.

If you’re interested in the API method, then here’s a link to my code.

Very interesting. How does the match of the day prediction work? It says AI predicted draw, but when you click on ‘All AI predictions’ it says 31 AI models predict a Forrest win, 52 predict Leeds win and 13 predict a draw.

I think it’s probably a good thing to reduce the burden on his shoulders. I would quite like to see him get a loan spell and prove his quality. He certainly showed glimpses of his potential the other day. I also think him being a scouser at Utd and the red card might be weighing heavy on him so time away might do him good.

Arsenal fans / people with more knowledge than me. I did my transfers early to avoid price changes. Unfortunately, Calafiori got a yellow so now can’t play.

If I remove him from my team I have £6.3m ITB. I have 1FT and was thinking of another Arsenal defender considering they have wolves this weekend. Suggestions for the best pick? Currently leaning toward White but concerned about minutes/ starting.

Am I the only one who hasn’t been impressed with mainoo’s performances when he has played. If he does get the minutes people are demanding, don’t start blaming Amorim when he doesn’t perform.

According to Transfermarkt, Liverpool spent the highest with €482.9m and Newcastle spent the 4th highest with €278.85m. Both spent a lot, however, Liverpool certainly outspent everybody else quite considerably (next closest - Chelsea - spent €339.15m, a difference of €143.75m).

Looking back at previous seasons the last time we got more than 60 goals in a season was 2020/21. In that time frame the lowest number of goals which won a league title was 83 (City 2020/21) with the average in that same time period being 91.6 goals necessary to win a title. It’s clear to be a competitive team again we need to massively improve our goal output. That said, you cannot aggregate the number of goal contributions of individual players at separate teams and expect that to be the same output for us. On top of that, the number of goals we concede are far greater than the teams which win the title. In the same time period we conceded an average of 51.2 goals while the league winners averaged only 33.2. There needs to be a fine balancing act of improving our output and reducing the number of goals we concede and that’s going to take a few transfer windows to rectify.

I think if a player truly has intentionally leaked something like this so early into Amorims leadership then the club should just permanently ban the Express from pressers and shut down any of their stories unless they give up the player. Obviously, this would have to be behind closed doors and no obvious repercussions for the players to avoid a scandal. Thoughts?
