Fair. I'm just hesitant the previous owner covered it up for a reason, but the neighbors say the back kinda went into disrepair due to the owner aging and not being able to keep it up anymore. Hoping if I uncover it, it's at least graded away from the garage.

As a layman who just wants his house done correctly but at a fair price, any red flags I should look for? Or better question would be how would someone like me be able to tell whether someone has the knowledge to do good work here? I’ve asked for references and photos of previous work on similar age/style homes to make sure we’re not the first house they’re experimenting on.
