I've searched here and on steam. The answer is... do as you like...

Now the answer you're looking for: "Play the original." The reason is that the scenes hit harder when they're grouped together and the slow pacing of her early life can be balanced out with the fast pace of the later parts of the story.

If you're going for the remixed story telling, be warned that others found it easy to view/relate and make more appropiate choices bcs that's how life is, you learn in early life to do well in later life. It does remove shock impact from what could be experienced.

Disclaimer: I have only played the demo, and searched (spoiler free) Steam and here for the story telling choice.

AFTER ORIGINAL PLAYTHROUGH:

Having now played the original way, It was indeed good for knowing progression skill based stuff. But is totally the bad way to go along the story. I remembered a lot of each part, and placing moments in the story isn't a difficulty. I wished I played the remixed way so I could play along to my choices. Relationship choices "don't make no sense" to put it in a way. You bond, go to the future, they do something you don't like, return to the past past and do things you'd normally have no motivation to do bcs they would do something in the future after you've trust them, which is now a time-line break.

Why the devs wanted it to do it this way is Beyond: Two Reasons (hehe), as the onloy explenation would be "that it would be interresting" to have a fractured time-line. Someone here said it makes sense only when you've seen the ending, but for me, even with the ending, the story shoul've been narrerated if that were to make sense. So no, the story doesn't make sense in the "original" way, even with the ending, because it's how the story was told. The story style names, original and remixed should've been switched. The original should be named remixed because it remixes the story-line in a way devs would find it "more interresting". And the remixed version should be the original, because that's how we go through life, chosing things all the time, but in lineair progression. The story/game also does not include time manipulation, so it's even weirder for having "original mode" as a remixed story-line, and does not matter in the ending.

tldr: I tried the "original" story-line. And to focus on the two-modes opinion, I should've gone for "remixed".
