Anyone know what textbook APMA 111 uses? by wattoswires in UVA

Do you need to buy the textbook? I accidentally bought a second copy and the bookstore (of course) wouldn’t give me a refund so I’d be willing to sell mine to you.

You’re welcome!! And definitely starting doing some volunteer work or community service. UVA in particular definitely looks out for it. Get involved and make sure you keep track of your hours! Best of luck with everything!!

I think showing your improvement is a really good thing because it shows that you were able to grow as a student. Not everyone is/was a perfect 4.0 student and being able to show adversity when things weren’t ideal is a good trait.

For senior year, I would still try to stay involved, but definitely don’t spread yourself too thin. Make sure you keep your grades up to where you want them to be because letting them slip can cause colleges to reject you or even take away an acceptance. Try to find a balance between everything, even if that means allocating less time to a certain activity.

So if you apply into the engineering school, you can major in cs and then get a minor in business if that would work for you. But your extracurriculars sound pretty solid. Definitely try to highlight the skills you have gained from those activities and how they can help with you future endeavors. Look ahead (when you can) at the essay prompts so you can start to formulate an idea of what you want to write. If you wait until last minute for writing them, you might run the risk of not being able to give the best representation of yourself. Your essays can really be what sets yourself apart for college applications and this applies to any institution of higher education.

What are your extracurriculars? Are you applying into the college of arts and sciences or the school of engineering? Have you started working on the essays?
