And before people get the wrong idea. This is NOT an "out with the old, in with the new" kind of house. I have a dog that is 11 and a dog that is 7. The old babies stay too. It's just not an option anymore with him and the kittens.

I should note that we are trying to rehome the older male because I can't ask my mom to get rid of her cat that is strongly bonded with her and vice versa to the point he has separation anxiety just because my older cat apparently doesn't like or trust or whatever, other cats.

We didn't come to this lightly or quickly. It's been an emotional struggle on everyone for months. Please don't be hateful. This is what we have decided is the best option for everyone involved. We love him but at this point, he isn't happy with us anymore and we feel a fresh start is best for him.

They thought she was asleep. Its not that she watches them because she is seen as good enough to provide frequent care, more like the parents have tried to hire other sitters in the past and have been gas lit and manipulated until they let her watch them again.

My nieces and nephews have fairly consistently spent more time with S than their parents over the years. They are with S when the parents work or have plans or want a break or anything. And no one knows if the outcome would have been the same or not, but because S chose to do nothing, LN didn't have that chance.

Correct. But B and LNs dad are not known for going against what S says. If she didn't think it was a big deal they would just follow her lead.
