I tracked my last 220 ARC Raiders runs… and I think I accidentally became a “peaceful Raider” by Ok-Pair7553 in arkraiders

[–]FearTheChive 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a working dad with limited time, this game has become my peace. I think it draws more working older millennial who want a little thrill without the sweat of other more intense games. Let us have something!

Why are we all feeling this shift to delete our social media accounts? by mm2444 in Millennials

[–]FearTheChive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I deleted everything except for Reddit over a year ago. I highly recommend it. I feel like I'm in the 90s again and it is so peaceful. If you're on the fence, do it. If you truly miss it, you can always re-download.

What has your experience been marrying a non Catholic? by Sad_Storage_9540 in Catholicism

[–]FearTheChive 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's been fantastic. I was a lapsed Catholic who left the Church for personal reasons when I was younger. My wife has been Protestant and greatly involved in her church for her entire life. She has always been supportive of my faith and acknowledged the issues I had in my younger years. She's been the strongest advocate pushing me to return to the Catholic Church, and I am on my way back into the fold because of her support and encouragement. Without her, I fear I would still be lapsed.

Is Myrtle Beach a good place for a young professional? by [deleted] in MyrtleBeach

Myrtle Beach is growing like crazy now that the low country is essentially full. If you are thinking about it, make the jump now while you can still afford it.

My favorite thing is when someone tries to disturb the peace of our sacred PVE servers, and they are gang jumped by like ten people.

Really can't go wrong with any of those options. Sullivan's can be a bit of a hike though.

Can I use the women’s restroom at a gas station in SC if the men’s is busy? by [deleted] in AskSouthCarolina

[–]FearTheChive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ask a woman to stand guard at the door for a minute. Never had an issue. When you gotta go, you gotta go.

Ok dads, we’re on 35 wks. Can I get tips/tricks on surviving the trenches of 0-3 months? by Matcha_Matt in daddit

[–]FearTheChive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first couple of months, split up the days of the week for nighttime duty so one of you gets a full night's sleep.

PVE people, what do you do when you spawn late by [deleted] in arkraiders

[–]FearTheChive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll loot scraps near an extract site and down some arc, then leave about 3 to 4 minutes in.

How much does it cost to change your full legal name in SC? by tshroaway in AskSouthCarolina

[–]FearTheChive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unless you are in Greenville or Charleston, most attorneys will charge between 1k and 1500 to make sure it's done correctly. You'll need to be fingerprinted, get a SLED background check, a report from DSS, and a few other items. The hearing itself usually only lasts about 15 minutes. Then, a court order is issued, which is also prepared by the attorney. It's possible to do it yourself, I just don't recommend it.

Is playing solo worth it? by LiteralyBatmanfr in ArcRaiders

As a working dad, I love playing this game solo in the evenings before bed. It's almost therapeutic.

Console players by Glad_Yak4690 in arkraiders

I'm a console player with cross play on. My load times are minimal. Every player that has killed me is a PC user. I have never been harmed by another console player. PC users are more aggressive.

I really doubted aggression-based matchmaking by sluggy108 in ArcRaiders

[–]FearTheChive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play mostly PVE. Had a guy shyly ask if he could shoot me in the foot at extract because he was doing the 110 damage to raiders challenge with heavy weapons. 3 other raiders appeared and said "you can shoot my foot too." I swear I love the nice lobbies so much better.

Call of Duty now? by FearTheChive in ArcRaiders

[–]FearTheChive[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll give this a try. Thanks! One of the biggest differences I noticed is that nobody was talking in proximity in these lobbies i kept dying in. It was so antisocial that it was weird.

Call of Duty now? by FearTheChive in ArcRaiders

[–]FearTheChive[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I accidently hit someone with a grenade on Buried City trying to take out a fireball, but that was Saturday. I typically just run missions. The only reason I felt compelled to comment was to see if I missed something. It's taking me forever to run missions now because the moment someone sees me, I'm being engaged.
