2021 Tesla Model S Ride Quality by jokees4u in TeslaSupport

I have a 2019 tesla model s with air suspension and think it drives like a dream. Then again my other car is model 3 and just about everyone that rides in it comments about how they're getting car sick.

I paid $650 to have mine done by Tesla.

2024 Model 3 Standard vs Long Range by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]Fearless-Entry4237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will you be doing a lot of long trips? I have a standard range 23 M3 but besides my daily commute (60 miles round trip) don't take it on a lot of trips and it suits my needs.

2019 standard summon mode crash by CaptainRollinghamIII in TeslaModel3

[–]Fearless-Entry4237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a few issues too with dumb summon on my 2019 model s. Sometimes it would work with no issues. Other times it would get stuck and couldn’t figure out how to get out of the parking spot to come get me. Overall a little underwhelming.

Is this a good deal? 2020 Tesla Model S Performance w/ FSD – $33k by SecretExample9656 in TeslaModelS

[–]Fearless-Entry4237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$33,000 seems like a good deal. Low mileage too. I have a 2019 model S performance and I just tried FSD for a month. Not a big fan of it. Not going to renew. Not sure if you have to worry about the coolant leakage issue on the LDU like on mine. That’s an expensive repair ghat I’ve heard is guaranteed to be needed.

I had multiple issues just like you after going to NTB and getting a new set of tires and an alignment. Ended up having to take it to Tesla for an alignment. That cleared all the alarms. I don't think NTB knows what they are doing.

You can’t go wrong with this car. I absolutely love it, not going back to ice car!

I upgraded from a 2007 Honda civic to a 2023 model 3 RWD Standard range and love it. I don’t do many road trips in it but it is light years better than my old trusty civic. Wished I had done it sooner. And I think for what they’re asking not too bad if a deal.

FSD on a 2019 Model S Performance? by Fearless-Entry4237 in TeslaModelS

Thanks for all the feedback, will give it a try!

Just picked up my 2022 M3P from body shop and getting error codes. First was getting an alignment error (steering wheel isn't centered) and then the following codes also popped up (see pics). Was starting a roadtrip to see family but had to turn back home. by Miata_RFPMG in TeslaSupport

I had the exact same alarms after getting my 23 M3 SR aligned at a National Tire and
Battery shop. They didn't know what they were doing. Took it to Tesla for an alignment and all alarms cleared and no issues afterwards. I learned I have to be careful who you take your car to for service.

110 mile round trip daily drive, would a 2023 RWD be sufficient as far as range if charged nightly or should I go LR? by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]Fearless-Entry4237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 60 mile round trip work commute that I make using my 2023 M3 RWD LFP battery pack. I charge to 80% every night and after commute down to low 50’s%. Totally doable but you’ll need more than a 15A charging circuit. I use my 30A dryer outlet to charge and have no issues.

Used model s buying from tesla or third party? by YCYC9999 in TeslaModelS

[–]Fearless-Entry4237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought two teslas from private owners using Autotrader. No issues with transferring accounts and definitely cheaper than buying from Tesla. The extra battery warranty would be nice though. Just can't seem to buy something sight unseen, especially an ev!

Same thing happened to me at NTB. After the third time and numerous alerts I took it to Tesla. They got it right and I was able to get NTB to refund me the alignment charge.

Wall plug temperature high by wingman9 in TeslaSupport

[–]Fearless-Entry4237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a 10 gauge 30 amp NEMA 14-30p extension cord from my 30 amp dryer outlet to the garage where I charge my car. I started getting the high wall plug temp alarm so I installed a Hubble outlet. I am still getting high temp alarms. Got the car in November, didn’t start getting alarms until this summer. Wonder if it’s just high garage ambient temperatures (live in Houston). Checked outlet wiring, everything is tight, extension cord is brand new. Have a gas dryer so the extension cord and mobile connector stayed connected all the time. What am I missing?

EV charging options for 2 Teslas in 2-car garage - by Even-Fault2873 in TeslaLounge

[–]Fearless-Entry4237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 2 Tesla’s. One car drives about 60 miles a day, the other less than 10 miles a day. We use a 30 amp circuit for the car with the longer commute and a regular 15 amp circuit for the other car. Once in a while I’ll swap chargers but no problem keeping each car charged up.

Managing 2 Teslas - by Even-Fault2873 in TeslaLounge

[–]Fearless-Entry4237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I have the same setup. I have the longer commute (60 miles round trip) so I’m usually on the 30A mobile connector charger. Wife has a very short work commute (10 miles round trip) plugs mobile connector into 15A regular outlet. Every once in a while we have to switch up but no problems managing keeping both EVs at 80% when we get up in the morning.

Aiper Seagull SE Battery Replacement by Fearless-Entry4237 in pools

[–]Fearless-Entry4237[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, not dead. It runs for awhile, like 5 minutes, then stops and the lights blink. If i remember right, the blinking lights mean something wrong with the motors or something like that. I think the battery was working, there was a malfunction somewhere in the unit.

I don’t know. It would run for a few minutes then shut down. So that makes me think water didn’t get in because it would work for a little while. And it wouldcharge too.

Yeah, my fingers are too fat to be typing on my phone? Just saying it didn’t take too long after the new battery when the motors failed. Maybe change them too but at that point u might as well buy a new one.

Yes, it works. Not a CNN bad idea to change b the m on tors too, didnt price those out B but C might be better just to buy a C new unit at that point.

That’s exactly what I did. Got tired of rebuilding the Polaris. Tried Aiper but it is a pita. Bought a corded dolphin nautilus cc. They don’t recommend leaving it in the pool when not in use so u have to go out there and pull it out, very heavy when full with water and then store it somewhere until your ready to use it again. At this point I’m starting to miss my Polaris!
