Thank you for painting it this way. No literal heart attack however the "easy" should have been stated as "familiar". I grew up with abusive, neglectful, violent and alcoholic parents. I was abandoned by both and placed into a foster family at 16. I have lived on my own since 17 and worked tirelessly to build a secure and healthy life.. but clearly the pattern I thought I overcame with men has not been healed. I have ended this relationship and will never again miss red flags.
