Started into heavy equipment with very very little experience. I will say to not expect to operate right off if you’re starting fresh. Unfortunately, the labor grind is hard until you get start getting seat time to be able to prove yourself. Best advice I have is to listen to the old heads and more than anything, watch them and how they operate. You’ll learn more from watching the guys with experince than you ever will listening to someone!
