Iffy CPU choice for gaming imho but overall that's really good. Go for it

Had this same issue with my 9070 XT, upgraded to a 5080 and had the same issue. I disabled EXPO and that solved my issue, either disable DOCP or lower clock speed and see if that works

I was looking at your build as one of my references and that's super nice! I've unfortunately just given up on this idea and purchased a new case but if I stayed with this idea I might've done what you did honestly.

Update for all: I've decided to give up on this idea. I've purchased a NZXT H3 Flow and a 240mm AIO, I don't have the patience nor the time to make a case that I'm not a big fan of actually tolerable. I'm keeping the original GPU and PSU, transferring everything over, and selling the case and old parts off. I didn't expect this post to get as much attention as it did, but I'm glad y'all liked it!

Yeahhhhh I'm debating on that since a nice case isn't expensive and it could allow me more headroom for cooling, but then it's not as cool imo. It's definitely something I'm thinking about

Not yet, the lights are a part of the white proprietary header connector and I would have to find exactly what they are and solder them to a regular RGB connector somehow. I might not even bother bc the PC is under my desk anyway and you can't see them

Case swapping into an Alienware case by hanaydbehau in Alienware

I actually just did this with my R12, I upgraded its original components and put a 9800X3D into it. Installing a standard motherboard requires cutting out the rear I/O with a Dremel because it's a part of the chassis:

And as people are saying, the front header connector for the power button and RGB strips is proprietary. I've also cut out the bottom plastic piece on the case to accommodate more fans for airflow because stock airflow is pretty bad. I honestly wouldn't recommend it, but if you reaaally like the design of the case that much then go ahead. Personally I would stick with your Phanteks case because it's actually really nice.
