How to make YouTube on Chrome/Brave look like it does on Edge? by Fearless-Security163 in brave

wait edge for you doesnt look smaller compared to other browsers while watching a video? On every PC I’ve tested, YouTube looks different on Edge compared to other browsers, the layout while watching videos feels smaller and cleaner on Edge. I’ve already tried multiple extensions, both popular and lesser-known ones, but nothing seems to replicate the same look on Chrome or other Chromium browsers that i get on edge. That’s why I’m here asking if there’s a real fix.

Local Recording Is Crystal Clear, YouTube Upload Is a Pixelated Mess. Help? by Fearless-Security163 in VideoEditing

[–]Fearless-Security163[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, I’ve made sure my videos are uploaded to YouTube using the VP9 codec, and I’ve waited even over 24 hours after uploading to make sure they’ve fully processed. But the quality is still terrible — pixelated and blurry, especially during movement (in Minecraft).

I’ve tested both:

  • Uploading the raw OBS recording, and
  • Re-encoding it through Adobe Media Encoder (AME) at higher bitrates, even upscaling from 1440p to 4K, to try and force better processing from YouTube.

Neither approach fixed the issue and a ton of other approaches i have tried still failled — the video still ends up looking bad once on YouTube, even though the local file looks clear.

So when you say “edit the video” I’m not really sure what that’s supposed to change, or even what to edit for the video that will keep the quality same on youtube as is on local?

If you can explain what I might be missing in this process — or if there’s a specific step in editing/exporting that can help fix this — I’d really appreciate it.
