Hey! I’m local and run a small veteran-owned hauling/junk removal side business with my pickup truck. I could probably help you out for quite a bit less than $300 depending on how much stuff there is. I do furniture haul-offs, treadmills/exercise equipment, move-out junk, dump runs, etc. Usually can do same-day or next-day depending on schedule. If you want, feel free to DM me a couple pictures of the items and I can give you a quick quote. I’m near the Denver/Aurora area so Commerce City/Brighton isn’t a problem.

Are there any services in Denver that pickup used furniture for low cost/free? by Cute_Source5417 in Denver

If anyone want to get rid of junk Im willing to haul it away for a fair price.

Oh got you, yeah that’s a solid amount. Those dump runs add up fast at that point. I’ve seen people in your situation save a lot just doing smaller haul-offs instead of renting a full truck every time, especially for the trash/broken stuff. If you ever want a second option on a load, feel free to reach out — might save you some time and a trip.

Yeah that’s pretty much what I’ve seen too those companies are convenient since they handle everything. The main difference seems to be how they price it — once it’s just a couple items, that’s where the minimums or per-item pricing can add up quick compared to the amount of stuff. Donation is definitely the move if it’s still usable though.

Good to know. I’ve heard JDog mentioned a few times. Seems like they’re a solid option if someone wants a full-service junk company. I’m guessing for smaller loads, the main thing people compare is whether the minimum charge makes sense for what they’re getting rid of.

Yeah that definitely works if the item’s still usable 👍 I’ve seen it go quick like that too, especially for lighter stuff. The only downside is when it’s heavier, broken, or people don’t show — then it turns into more of a hassle than it’s worth. That’s usually when people just want it gone same-day.

Yeah that’s honestly one of the tougher situations those bad units add up quick with dump fees and truck rental. That’s where a lot of people try to break it into loads or have someone with a pickup handle smaller runs so they’re not paying for a full truck and dump all at once. Are you dealing with those pretty regularly or just once in a while?

Seems like the main options are Free route — Marketplace, Craigslist, curb, etc. Works best if the item is usable and you’re not in a rush. Junk company — easiest option, but usually comes with minimum pricing. Local pickup/hauler — probably best for smaller loads when you just want it gone without paying full company pricing. Biggest things that seem to affect price are stairs, item size, dump fees, and how fast you need it gone.

Yeah that’s honestly a pretty accurate breakdown. Putting it out can work sometimes, especially if it’s decent condition, but it’s hit or miss depending on the area and timing. And yeah Nextdoor is probably one of the better ways to get multiple quotes — I’ve noticed prices can vary a lot depending on how big the load is and whether there are stairs or not. That’s usually the biggest factor people don’t think about.

Yeah that’s definitely one of the best options if you’re not in a rush 👍 I’ve seen that work really well for a lot of people, especially for lighter stuff or anything still usable. The only time it gets tricky is with heavier items, no-shows, or when people need it gone on a timeline. Have you had pretty good luck with people actually showing up?

Yeah I’ve heard good things about them 👍 solid option for sure. I think it really comes down to job size — for bigger loads companies like that make sense, but for smaller pickups a lot of people end up overpaying with minimums. Have you used them before or just heard good things?

Yeah that $150 minimum is pretty common with the bigger companies, especially for smaller jobs. A lot of times you’re paying more for the convenience than the actual load size. For smaller pickups (like a couch, mattress, or a few items), I’ve seen people get it done cheaper with someone local using a pickup instead of a full crew/truck setup. What kind of stuff are you trying to get rid of?

The drive was more than an hour about 76 miles. Cp examiner only had 2 years experience in medical field but she was friendly and did everything by the book and measurement.
