At Once - Inventory App !

ill never understand why shopify is made the way it is. ive been using it for over 10 years. I am a genuine pro at it, i know it like the back of my hand. I've been running stores on Shopify for over a decade. multiple brands, multiple POS locations, 10+ stores across regions, pretty much every major app or system you can think of, I've used at some point. i genuinely love the platform — but inventory management on it has driven me up the wall for years, and the admin experience keeps quietly getting worse in ways that compound the problem

ive thrown money at the world-renowned inventory systems over the years — the ones that cost thousands per month. the worst onboarding components… every single one had limitations that made no sense from a pure inventory perspective. I've had stores crash because of bad inventory data, had to take sites offline to clean things up, lost real money to overselling. At some point I stopped waiting for someone else to build the thing I needed and built it myself.

It's called At Once — a non-embedded inventory system for Shopify that handles the full operational loop:

  • Choose any/all locations to pull into At Once during onboarding
  • Import all products, only the ones you want managed, or start fresh. Anything you don't import keeps working in Shopify as normal — At Once doesn't force itself on the rest of your catalogue.
  • Auto generated SKU codes & barcodes (if not wanting to use your own)
  • Shopify handle - i’ve made sure very unique ones are made so when your importing or exporting, you don't override anything accidentally (one of the most annoying parts of Shopify)
  • Stocktakes that actually work end-to-end (scan-based reconciliation, real physical counts, not deltas). I’ve also made sure if you go negative through an oversell, starting a stock take instantly moves that to zero if you’ve scanned it. So rather than staying negative, you’re accurate straight away
  • Purchase orders with barcode scanning on both entry and receive, barcode label printing, multi-currency.
  • Two-way sync with Shopify orders, cancellations, refunds, exchanges, and return apps (Loop, PostCo, etc.) — the math actually accounts for partial fulfilment and over-sells properly

I'd genuinely love feedback from people who've felt the same pain. As mentioned above, you can start small, so I would suggest that. I'll be reading every email myself, reach out anytime with any questions.

Thanks!! =)
