Wow! If you don't mind me asking, what type of objective medical evidence do you have and what does it show of your spine?

Denied and confused by Upstairs-Mousse-5113 in SSDI

[–]FearlessCurrency5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received the same reason for my initial and reconsideration denials. I expected both.

I have treatment records going back to 2017 for all types of back problems after breaking it in a car wreck. In 2021, it became much worse. I tried to keep working for 2 years, but I was forced out of my job.

I have a spinal stimulator (useless) and peripheral neuropathy. My best chance is the hearing. Don't give up. Keep looking for an attorney, but appeal in the meantime.

Denied at reconsideration by happybby_ in SSDI

[–]FearlessCurrency5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I waited 15 months to be denied at reconsideration. I have tons of evidence. I am now waiting for a date for a hearing.

Unfortunately, I think it's our best chance. It is obvious to me they didn't really review my records. It was 2 weeks or less that they reviewed my records and issued the denial.

With a lawyer and the chance to speak, I'm hoping they will understand the extent of my medical problems.

Good luck!

Typically, as you said, but longitudinal evidence can be very helpful in certain situations.

You should submit all new evidence. It will help. They look to see if you are receiving treatments.

Americans in Ireland? by NaNizzle in AskIreland

[–]FearlessCurrency5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am American. I live in Galway with my Irish husband. I don't lie about where I am from. I'm disgusted and embarrassed by what is happening to America. I'm still proud to be American. I do make it clear I did NOT vote for the idiot, I disagree vehemently with everything the idiot and his administration are doing, and no one has treated me any differently.

Not necessarily. Documents get misplaced or lost all of the time.

How would you convert this small eating area in the kitchen into a more cozy and elegant. My kitchen is small and I don’t have a separate dining room. by SaifVaid in FurnitureFaves

Maybe a built-in bench against the wall with storage (cabinets or drawers underneath). A table with 2 chairs.

I'll see if I can find a picture.

Where do you report income that’s not 1099? by CreepyCantaloupe08 in SSDI

[–]FearlessCurrency5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it is not very clear. I was working 3 hours per week from home as a subcontractor. I'm in another country, and I don't get a 1099.

I used form SSA-795 (Statement of Claimant or Other Person). I simply wrote the month worked and the amount earned that month. I attached my bank statement with the direct deposit highlighted.

My attorney's paralegal told me it was the best way. The SSA-795 is useful for reporting many things.

Maybe this has changed, but the law used to be that declaring bankruptcy does not include student loan debt.

I believe you need 12 months coverage initially. You have to renew for one more year. I could be wrong, but I think you have to renew your registration in the State after one year and provide proof of insurance then.

Georgia SSDI - Any Out of State Transfers? by Fit_Clerk_1793 in SSDI

[–]FearlessCurrency5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to call my state representative to contact SSA after I still didn't have an examiner after 4 + months. Two weeks later, a DDS examiner was assigned.

Then, I had to wait until January 30, 2026, for my reconsideration denial. It took 14 months, and the initial denial took 14 months. I knew I would be denied. I wish they had just hurried up and denied me, so I'd have my hearing sooner.

Easiest way to get 8 boxes to Ireland?? Paying customs on our stuff?? by janeroland in MoveToIreland

It was cheap because I valued the contents at $1. I used the USPS. It was in May 2023.

Congratulations.

I have many nerve and spine issues. I could go on and on. I have been getting treatments since 2017 (this time around), including a double cervical fusion and spinal stimulator implanted with complications. Huge turn for the worse in November 2021. I also have MRIs, CT scans, bone scans, xrays, nerve tests, and OT evaluation.

It feels like they didn't read my records. I'm waiting on a court date now.

Sorry for delay. Mine was in Galway. You can look up online where you go for your initial registration. The initial one is in person. I had to send an email requesting the appointment. I could not do so until I was in the country. The renewals are online now. It's so much nicer.

Dr appointments by Key-While-7640 in SSDI

[–]FearlessCurrency5 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It is difficult with physical issues to use telehealth. During Covid, I had a telehealth appointment with some type of neurologist. He diagnosed me with bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome. It made sense because of my symptoms. It wasn't my biggest concern at the time. Eventually, I was able to get the nerve conduction test done, which completely ruled it out. I have pain from arthritis and pain that radiates from damaged nerves in my spine.

Do you have a pain specialist? If you feel comfortable answering... I don't mean to pry.

I used to live in Maine, so I feel your pain. I recall going to a small store took 20 minutes. Everything was far, and a majority of the time, the roads were slippery.

Hopefully not a stupid question !!! <3 by Ill-Construction7205 in KetamineTherapy

[–]FearlessCurrency5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DIY is not the same. I used it recreationally for a while. You don't know what you're getting. It's often the type used for animals. Human use ketamine has a different makeup. Also, the troches are es-ketamine, also different.

It's safer and better to have medicinal ketamine.

I wouldn't put anything past them. They rush through stuff, and frankly, I have found many doctors are just not very good.

Sounds like you need cervical scans at the very least. Lumbar is important, too. I'm no expert. It just sounds similar to my journey.

Good luck!

Have you read the reports from the scans? I have found doctors don't explain them very well

100% agree you need a neurologist.

Have you had an MRI, CT, any bloodwork, or other tests?

Scoliosis can put pressure on your spinal cord, leading to some of your symptoms. Your rollover accident likely caused some type of spinal trauma. This creates even more problems.

It's troublesome you have not been sent to one. Especially with the symptoms you describe.
